Knicksboy34ParticipantDID ANYONE NOTICE….NOT ONE FA SERIOUSLY CONSIDERED CLEVELAND? NOT ONE PLAYER AT ALL.
RON- RON…NOPE
ARIZA..NO THANK YOU
ODOM…NOT LIKELYShaq got traded to Cleveland but you gave him a choice…he would have went to LA
LBJ Gone by 2010

birdman113where do you think he will go then?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 4:52am #176865

gatorheelsParticipantlol….I gotta agree. The Cavs always get the leftovers from free agency. This year will be a perfect example. They will re-sign Varejao and pickup Anthony Parker…..that is not going to win championships. King James headed for MSG in 2010.

Knicksboy34ParticipantNo clue. I think if i had to put money on it…it’s between NY and Brooklyn (my hometown)

Michael.S.ParticipantArtest—- why would he go to Clevland when L.A has a better chance at winning it all, and its a bigger city/ market.
Odom— wouldnt have left L.A for anywhere not just Clevland
Ariza—just cared bout the money0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 4:57am #176868

Knicksboy34Participantthank you…Artest could have gotten same money in Cleveland.
I dont see Odom going there….

Lemons4LifeParticipantI could see LeBron going to one of these teams when the time comes:
1. New York Knicks-The Knicks could find their building block, and star player that they’ve been missing, while also attracting another big name like Wade.
2. Miami Heat-The Heat have a good salary cap, and with Wade saying he’s not leaving, who wouldn’t want to join an All-Star while playing in the nice weather.
3. Los Angeles Clippers-The Clippers could be a contender because of the weather and location, but I don’t see him going there because it’s about basketball not movie studios or the beach.
4. New Jersey Nets(Currently)-Just like New York. The Nets have a great lineup with young talent, and two great players with Harris and Lopez.
5. Oklahoma City-I’m really not sure about this one, but with the young talent they have and being a possible playoff contender Oklahoma City could be a possibility, even though it doesn’t seem likely now since Paul Millsap signed a big deal.

dwat4444ParticipantIf lebron wants to start being considered the best player ever then he needs to start winning some titles. If he goes to NY it will set back his goals a couple years. I would much rather have Williams, West, Z, and Shaq than well….anyone(I couldn’t think of a guy that might stay on the knicks roster for the next year) Duhon and Gallinari as your best players? Even if they sign wade that means they’ll be spending 40 million on those 2. So they have little more than 10 million for the other 12 guys on the team???
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 6:09am #176899

Knicksboy34Participantnot really…he could win a title in NY
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 6:18am #176902

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantNY would get killed by LA even with Lebron on the team.

Knicksboy34ParticipantBlazerfan….you sound like a hater.

J-CHRISTOSParticipantIs there anything else to talk about,ya’ll got a one track minds, another example the Yankees (since 2001) these guys always get the top free agents and never win, lets just say Lebron does go to New York, or Brooklyn whatever there is a great chance that you guys still don’t win a championship, then who’s next to come I hear in 2012 Jesus Christ will be available go after him while you’re at it,New York (along with Philly) has the most ungrateful fans, how long will it be until you start boing Lebron once he plays for the Knick or Nets there’s no pleasing you
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 6:41am #176913

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantWell thats all the knicks fan talk about. Lebron, Lebron, Lebron. Its like you have only one plan. Ever thought what happens if no big names come to NY in 2010? No backup plan.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 7:07am #176926

Knicksboy34Participant2011…Melo, Durant, etc….we are getting a superstar.
Noone goes to Portland or Cleveland…unless for big money
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 7:12am #176929

gatorheelsParticipantLeBron or no LeBron, New York is still on the rise. They are going to land 2 big free agents in 2010….stop hating on the Knicks.
dwatt4444- r u smoking crack? I have already said this before but I’ll say it again….LeBron has a better chance of winning a title in New York instead of staying in Cleveland. Why can’t people understand that? It is simple really. Cleveland never gets any of the top free agents. Big Z is pure garbage dwat4444. Have you ever seen him play haha? Shaq is slowing down plus he is probably gone after next season anyways. Delonte West & Mo Williams are just overrated undersized guards who cant step up in big games. New York has way more talent than Cleveland already. By the way the Knicks best player is not Duhon…r u stupid? Gallinari, Chandler, Hill, Douglas, Milicic, maybe David Lee &or Nate Robinson, is a pretty solid supporting cast. Not to mention the other free agents the Knicks will get in 2010 along with their draft picks in the 2010 draft. Plus New York still may add a free agent this year.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 7:19am #176931

llperezI might be looking into something that is’nt even there, but I found it interesting what Shaq said on PTI the day his signing with Cleveland was announced. They asked him about Lebron leaving at the end of the year for New York and he said that “we can’t think about the future, we just need to focus on this season and hopefully we have the type of success that will make his decision next year a lot tougher.” I look at that as maybe Lebron is leaning towards leaving since the cavs having succcess will make him think more about staying.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 7:25am #176934

Knicksboy34ParticipantThats what im saying….people hate on NY in general because we are real. I mean, LBJ has a great chance to come on NY. NY itself has a great chance to acquire 2 superstars. We will already have 5 players under contract for 2010 so adding LBJ who we can give up to 15 mil a year and another superstar (Joe Johnson is the one I prefer) we will have 7 players (Gallo, Chandler, Hill are the young 3)
Also, on the system doesn’t win Titles. Cleveland became a better Defensive team due to LBJ and Brown preaching Defense. You think LBJ is really saying ” I can’t win in NY, they dont play Defense” NO! He could come on NY and be in some case ” the defensive coach” because he will increase the defensive intensity on that team.
Please, most teams are mad LBJ doesn’t wanna go play for them (Blazersfan7) and you think if LBJ called Roy and said…come on NY in 2010 he would say no? he would be picking a home on Madison ave man….point blank
LeBron James best chance to win a title is NY because He will remain the face of a Franchise on a team that can attract FA and in 2 seasons can be a pretty decent team.

noel2420Participantdon’t talk to knicks fans like that don’t hate on new york. at least they have people that want to go to them look at the blazers the tried to get hedo but he wen’t to portland and without roy portland will be just like the kings searching for answers and portland on’t get nowhere without another person to help roy so they should be talking blazer fan just hating cause new york is better than portland and would not get a championship till 49 years from now a longgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg time right i feel bad for uuuuuuuuuuu portland fan championship notttttt new york had legends which legend portland had roy maybe but nobody i could rember

aarondsonixfanParticipantyou new york guys apparently don’t know anything about basketball. You’re saying all that Portland has is Roy? Wow! They are STACKED!!! I mean they are young, but I mean they have Aldridge, Bayless, Webster, Fernandez, Oden (hopefully will be good eventually), Outlaw, etc. Their team is stacked and will win a championship before the Knicks do. That’s for sure. Actually research your stuff before just saying that the Blazers suck. The Knicks’ best player is Nate Robinson, who probably won’t even be coming back. You guys are lottery bound for ages, and if the Cav’s win a championship, there is NO WAY LeBron is going to NY. I believe that he is going to stay in Cleveland no matter what.

dejuiceboxParticipantlol Lebrons leaving the second hes a FA, sure he wont say anything but hes not going to rot in Cleveland the rest of his career, its between Nets (my team) and the Knicks, i personally want to see him go to MSG and play for the Knicks, but both of those teams will have better supporting casts then the Cavs
Nets got a great PG in Harris, great C in Lopez and some other good players
Knicks will have Hill who should be good, hopefully Lee Galinari and some others
Cavs? Big Z should be done soon, Mo i hear is a FA and why would he want to stay in Cleveland without Lebron, Shaq will be goneLebron n Shaq will be lucky to make it to the Finals, i hate the Celts but its gunna be Celts Lakers next year
Lakers in 60 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:01am #176965

CLYDE-frazier10Participanti think by next year chandler will b a good defender and i like JJ to so i want them to ge him
so i think a amare lebron combo or lebron JJ combo is going to an upgrade from wateva the cavs will have0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:07am #176968

Knicksboy34Participantaarondsonixfan- sorry but thats sound foolish….he’s gonna stay in a area that does not attract FA’s? Dumb Idea
Portland will never win a title…they will Portland of the late 80 and early 90’s…close but no cigar…
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:11am #176971

gatorheelsParticipantWhy does LeBron want to stay in Cleveland? He isn’t going to win a championship there ever. No top notch free agents come to Cleveland. No chance no of winning it all this year because the Lakers, Spurs, & Celtics have all gotten better.
Portland does have a ton of young talent. However, they will not win a title before the Knicks do. New York is about to get 2 major free agents next year (it doesn’t matter if it is LeBron or not). Portland has no super clutch players that can step up in crunch time during the playoffs when the pressure is really on. Plus until the Blazers get a true starting caliber PG they aren’t going to be making it past the 2nd round anytime soon.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:13am #176973
birdman113in case you havent noticed its Centers that win titles just look at what Shaq has done to both LA and Miami. i would label the thunder as a team to be more what your talking about brcause they dont have a good center. if Oden can put up solid numbers they will be a good team.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:14am #176974
AlexBoiiParticipantLBJ and Chris Bosh are going to going to end up with the Nets. If the Nets stand pat, they have on roster for the 2010-2011 Devin Harris, Courtney Lee, Terrance Williams, Brook Lopez, Keyon Dooling, Chris Douglas-Roberts, and Eduardo Najera. That roughly adds up to 21 Mil. Assuming the salary cap ends up being around 56 Million, that leaves 35 Mil in cap room. The Nets would also have to renounce their rights on players such as Sean Williams, Yi Jianlian, and Josh Boone, meaning that they become unrestricted free agents, and thus do not have a cap number. Give both James and Bosh starting salaries at 17 Mil each the first season, then this team is set! All they would really need is to draft a backup C, and sign some veterans that will take up the bi-annual acception, mid-level, etc., and the roster is pretty much squared away.

CLYDE-frazier10Participant“Their team is stacked and will win a championship before the Knicks do.”
lebron on knicks wud destroy Portland any dayhes not winnig a Chip with shaq end of story
as for portland Fernandez is not happy. Oden is on the verge of being yao ming with his injuries.
but yea they have a good core of young talent with Aldridge Roy bayles0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:17am #176977

d-grizzlyParticipantthe celtics won because of garnett…not because of a center. without him, they struggle…and perkins isn’t the x-factor in boston. The lakers won because kobe’s kobe..and pau massively stepped up. bynum didn’t win a title for l.a. kobe won a title for l.a.
centers don’t always win titles for the teams.
0- Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:29am #176984
aarondsonixfanParticipantif LeBron went to NY he would have to score 50 points every game in order for them to even be in playoff contention. Blazers are going to be in the playoffs this year, the Knicks aren’t. They are going to have a lot of playoff experience, when the knicks won’t. I mean c’mon now. Yeah they might get 2 really good players, but what if they don’t? What if your guys’ plan backfires on you and you end up with the same team. That’s basically what’s going to happen. I mean what do the knicks have that LeBron would want to go to? He has more in Cleveland than he does in NY. The Blazers are stacked. The Knicks aren’t. I’m not saying that LeBron is going to the Blazers, because everyone knows that’s just not going to happen. I think he will stay in Cleveland, or go somewhere like the Nets. I believe that Bosh will go to NY for you guys, but I really don’t think that LeBron will.

d-grizzlyParticipantwhen shaq played for the lakers and the heat…he played on stacked teams.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:24am #176981

Knicksboy34ParticipantALL and ALL….Lebron is not returning in 2010…I would be shocked
Shaq is a shell of himself..he wont be 25-15 Shaq like he was in LA. He wont be 20-9 like he was in Miami. He will be a 16-8 type player in Cleveland. Lebron will lead this team and they will fall in round 2
I used to think a title would keep LBJ in Cleveland. Now? Not even a Title could keep LBJ in Cleveland.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:25am #176983
birdman113its more big men. the thunder dont hav a good legit power forward/center Durant, and Green, are more of a small forward. while Portland has Oden, and Aldridge. but if you can get a dominent center your team is going to be really good.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:29am #176985

Knicksboy34Participantumm….I think the NBA is a Centers league because not everyone has a legit one. But…no guards…no titles. Look at the last couple of title teams..
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:30am #176987

d-grizzlyParticipantdominant big men = paint presence.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:32am #176989

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantKnicks franchise has been here since 1946 producing two titles. Blazers franchise been in the league since 1970 producing one title. Last time you guys won a title was 1973. We won one in 1977. Even without Roy we are still a solid team. Even if Roy leaves it would be to a west team, probably the Lakers. All I’m saying is even if Lebron decides to come to NY I just don’t think he will win a title there. Playoffs probably. You guys need a better coach.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:33am #176990

Knicksboy34Participantaarondsonixfan- What are you talking about…no they would not. LBJ would not have to score 50.
You are not a real NBA guy…You think LBJ is going to NY by himself? He wont stay in Cleveland because they CANNOT ATTRACT FREE AGENTS. THE ONLY GUY WHO ACTUALLY CAME TO CLEVELAND AS A FA WAS LARRY HUGHES……..
PORTLAND IS ANOTHER TEAM THAT DOES NOT ATTRACT FA’S….THEY HAVE TO OVERPAY FOR THERE PLAYERS. THEY GET MOST PLAYERS IN THE DRAFT AND THATS IT….WHAT IF ROY AND ALDRIDGE LEAVES IN 2010? Please Answer that question….
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:34am #176991

d-grizzlyParticipantoden isn’t solid enough. he has to stay on the court and produce atleast 60 or more games with respectable stat. if roy left…..OUCH for portland….
0- Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:40am #176996
aarondsonixfanParticipantif roy and aldridge leave in 2010 then yes, i will give that to you that they will suck. But again what will LeBron be going to? I mean i’m pretty sure that they will get bosh, but I really don’t think that just because Bosh goes there, so will LeBron. I mean what free agents have you guys signed? You failed with Jason Kidd, and what else? You can make a point that all 3 teams that we are talking about have free agent trouble, so we have to go with what type of rosters that they have now. Portland is young and stacked, NY has good players, who are now in free agency (Robinson and Lee), and Cleveland has Mo, Shaq, and Lebron. I believe that between Cleveland and NY, I would have a better chance at a title with Cleveland. That’s what LeBron wants. He doesn’t want to wait again because he had to wait in Cleveland for all that time. But yes if both roy and aldridge leave next year i will give you that the blazers will be absolutely horrible.

gatorheelsParticipantaarondsonixfan- “LeBron would have to score 50 pts a game for New York for them to even be in playoff contention.” Dude you just lost all credibility.
I don’t know what the hell is wrong with alot of u people today but you must of used some potent drugs.
Once again I will say it……the KNICKS have a better supporting cast than Cleveland does…end of story. get over it
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:44am #177000

Knicksboy34ParticipantDanillo Gallanari , Toney Douglas, Jordan Hill and Wilson Chandler and Morris Almond (who is expected to be added to the Knicks by the end of FA) and they may regain Chris Wilcox…
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:45am #177002

Knicksboy34ParticipantIm sorry but beside Roy and Aldridge…Portland is filled with a whole bunch of #3 and #4 options…..
0- Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:49am #177008
aarondsonixfanParticipantok you win on the portland deal. but those names are not as big of names as Shaq or Mo Williams, or big z. The knicks need more superstars. If they can get Bosh in, that would be a start. You have a chance, but i don’t know. I think he will want to go on a team with a winning record
0
- Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:49am #177009

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantOh yeah Roy and Aldridge aren’t leaving. Roy is going to sign a 5 year 75-80 mil. Aldridge same amount of years but less money of course. I don’t see them staying here forever of course. They probably leave like Drexler when they been in the league for like 11-12 years.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:54am #177015

gatorheelsParticipantDude take LeBron and put him on New Yorks current team and they will make the playoffs EASY..I promise you.
Take LeBron off Cleveland and they will not make the playoffs.
LeBron is a true game changer. If he and Chris Bosh or Amare get on the same team it is over. It doesn’t really matter who is surrounding them. But if they both happen to go to the Knicks they will dominate. Because like I said the Knicks already have a lot of young talent.
0- Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 9:03am #177024
aarondsonixfanParticipanti don’t get how mo williams is overrated when he was an all star last year. the rest of the players i agree with you. But like you said, the key word is IF. If he and chris/amare on the same team it will be a domination. Yeah if. There are a lot of teams with a lot of young talent. The Blazers, the Grizzlies, the Thunder, etc. So the young talent statement is really nothing. I just don’t see how he would be intrigued by New York. Oh and i did watch some knick games by the way. It seemed like all it was was Nate Robinson, and if Nate Robinson missed, David Lee would get the board and put it back in. I think that Chandler is good, really good for his age.. I think that Hill can potentially be good.. but other then that they don’t really have anyone. They need to get back one of the 2 of Robinson or Lee, prefferably Lee because they keep on saying that Robinson is not a starting PG, which I don’t get at all. If they have LeBron, Amare, Chandler, Lee, and a good PG, then yes they will be unstoppable.

- Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 8:56am #177016

Knicksboy34Participantaarondsonixfan- Big Z is a scrub….Shaq is old and Mo Williams proved to me is nothing but a shooting PG who cant create
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 9:00am #177012

gatorheelsParticipantMo Willimas- overrated undersized cant step up in the clutch
Delonte West- overrated undersize folds under pressure
Shaq- wont be there after this year
Varejao- absolutely terrible
Illgauskas- pure garbageNew York has way better talent….watch some games dude please before you get on here talking straight nonsense
Jordan Hill can play PF or Center and can run the floor great for a big man. Toney Douglas is more of a combo guard who can flat out score…he replaces Nate Robinson (if Nate even leaves) David Lee may stay with New York who knows. David Lee is much better than Big Z or Varejao. Chandler & Gallinari both would get significant playing time if they played for the Cavs.LeBron has a much better chance of winning a title if he goes to New York…that is a fact.
It is has already been proven again & again that Cleveland isn’t going to win any titles.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 9:01am #177019

d-grizzlyParticipanti think wade and lebron (could) end up together. wade is a superstar…just like kobe and lebron are….he’s just unhuman for a SG. Take him and place him with the most dominant foward in the league…..this adds up to tremendous offense….non-stop highlight reels….amazing defense (wade blocks over 1.0bpg)….and you have a few championships. also, if the knicks didn’t lose david lee….. and they picked up wade and lebron……. that would be a pretty nice 2,3,4 setup. as far as 1 and 5…eh..nobody extremely important..
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 9:10am #177036

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantTrade you guys Rudy for Chandler 😀
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 9:10am #177037

Knicksboy34ParticipantMo Williams made the team after like 2 dudes got hurt…he is terrible he is not a top 10 PG he is overrated…
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 9:13am #177038
birdman113sure portland has a bunch of third or 4th options besides Roy,and Aldridge but most of players are less then 25. Bayless, is 20 Batum, 19. oden 21. Rudy 24 Outlaw 24 Webster 23. thats a pretty young group of players and they have a lot of room to grow
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 9:14am #177044

Knicksboy34Participanti would take that deal….Rudy would average 20 ppg for NY easy
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 9:17am #177048
birdman113if your right than Rudys definetly more than a 3rd or 4th option.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 9:18am #177051

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantHow bout Rudy and Outlaw for Chandler and Lee? I don’t know how the salary works just base on talent and needs. Chandler could be a very good option after Roy and Aldridge.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 9:22am #177057

Knicksboy34Participanthe would average more points in a NY system because he can shoot, he would get more PT and would be getting the ball more as the team’s lead shooter
on Portland, he is a #3-#5 type option. You guys will also need to pay players. Rudy may leave if he does not get alot of PT this year. Outlaw is…something i dont what role he plays. Webster can shoot but is a SG/SF and most likely a benchman (who you already payed) and Batum…he plays good D but is a energy guy. Bayless could not even sniff the court and when he did, did not impress.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 9:23am #177059
birdman113NOOOOOOOOO. I DONT THINK WE SHOULD TRADE RUDY.
