Michael.S.ParticipantI have been meaning to post this for a while, and I think another factor that has played a part in the Bulls being so terrible this year. I think they have a pair of the most selfish and overrated wings in the game hands down. Salmons and Deng are screwing this team over. Deng is vastly overrated as he can’t create his own shot, and is very soft. Deng also has some of the worst playmaking ability I have ever seen as he either can’t find the open man, or just don’t give the ball up. Salmons is also very very overrated. Salmons is a black hole, who has some of the worst shot selection I have seen in a while. I don’t consider him a player that can create his own shot and I can’t even consider him a threat on the offensive side of the ball. His D is also overrated, when I hear people saying he is a lockdown defender I chuckle, its crazy. He is the type of player that plays with zero heart and takes 20 contester jumpers. He is the most selfish player in the league, period.

gregoden08ParticipantHe’s got a good mid range game, has a great physical package and has good size and can play defense. I always though Deng was underrated. Agree on Salmons though.

JNixonParticipantI think that Salmons is one of the very best defenders in the NBA, just watch him play D because he’s an awesome defender to me, yet no one says anything about it. I think he’s one of the more underrated players in basketball. He’s good at every aspect of basketball, except he’s not a great athlete or 3-point shooter.
I do think Deng is overpaid and overrated, but he brings things to the table that 3rd options should bring. He’s a great mid-range player, he finishes at the rim and he’s a good defender. He’s only a decent scorer though, and he looks very mediocre as a 1st option this season. I think he’s a player you trade, especially between him and Salmons IMO. He’d be better if he was on a team with more scoring options…

ricks17Participantthe problem with the bulls is definatly not the wings, its obviously the bigs in the post. noah is so limited offensively, it hurts to watch….

marcusfizer21ParticipantDerrick Rose is a hell of a player and I think he will be the franchise guy for the Bulls for may years but as a leader he should know when to take over games… Yes, I do understand that he is a point guard but when he has the ability to be aggressive and play, he should do it… There should be times where he NEEDS to be selfish in order for them to win… He’s just too unselfish…

the I in winParticipantthe bulls need a legit low post option like a boozer or stoudemire

McWinningParticipantNoahs good but hes no more than a Pryzbilla type player and i agree their wings arent the problem they dont have a legit scoring big man maybe Thomas but he really need to work on his moves hes still raw i agree if they get Bosh they would really become a good team.

nba00Participantfor me their wings are good, but they need to get a post-up player, that is the bulls obvious weakness. I also think that salmons game is almost the same with deng’s. I saw in the internet that redd is one of the future free agents in 2010 so I hope that they give him an offer plus get a good post-up player.

JNixonParticipantI don’t think they have enough true scoring threats…too many 2nd and 3rd option and below options on that team. They need to make a move to get a 1st option player, because if Luol Deng is your 1st option you’ll only get so far. They have too many players that are below average on offense in their frontcourt, they literally have 3 players (Noah, Gibson, and Thomas) that play the exact same style and they all score pretty much off of put backs and like 1 or 2 mid-range shots. They need a scoring big extremely bad..

gatorheelsParticipantMagikKnick- Hinrich is not a hell of a backup. He sucks. Yeah people that don’t watch the games love him. Have you seen him play this season? Pure garbage. I am a Bulls fan & I have been dreaming about the day Hinrich gets traded for a long time. He is overrated & overpaid.
Before anybody flips out here is why Hinrich is not as good as most people on here think:
This season stats for Kirk:
PER 6.76 (way way below the league average)
33% FG 28% 3 point…. he shoots BRICKS
Plus his contract SUCKS
