White ChocolateParticipantWe have the scoring champion, rookie of the year, mvp, defensive player of the year, sixth man of the year, and most imoproved player of the year.
Should the NBA add another award that would be able to be awarded to a player? The sophomore of the year award? Players like Brandon Jennings and Stephen Curry feel robbed and they want another shot to show us that they are the best players in their class. With this award they would be given the chance to do so. It would also give Tyreke Evans another chance to show us that he is the best player out of his class. It would be kind of cool to see over the years how many players win ROY and SOY. The number probably wouldn’t be very high, because some players have dud rookie seasons and they break out as a sophmore. If the NBA added it, who would win it this year? I already mentioned Jennings, Evans, and Curry. Others could be, Darren Collison who had a great rookie season last year and who will get starter minutes this year for the Pacers. Maybe even Terrence Williams of the Nets sicne he looks like he has improved and he will get a increase of minutes this year. I think the NBA should seriously considering making this an official award, it would be awesome. What do you guys think?

dolla130Participanthonestly they need to keep it the same or get rid of some of those meaningless awards like 6th man and most improved player these players dont need to be awarded for every thing

Counting StarsParticipantSammybuckeye, I don’t think it’s weird they got rid of the Comeback Player of the Year award. They got rid of it, because it kept going to players who were coming back from drug habits and was tainting the image of the league.
Now, I don’t necessarily think we have the same problem today and the Comeback Player award would probably be a good thing for the league.

SwatLakeCityParticipantJust watch it comes back and it goes to Gilbert Arenas, who just came back from his recent experience with guns. Now that’s quite an image that the NBA is setting. Hahaha.

lalailaParticipanthow about more stats?
Like how much more/less the defender let his player to score than his avg or avg of drawing offensive fouls..then we would give some more love for hardworkers..
