Anybody up for another All-Time draft??? Need 8 to play…

Simple but needed rules of the all-time any past era basketball draft. Any league can fit.

Pick basketball player and/or coaching greats from any era in the past. Specify the year.
Consider playoffs, etc. within that year if applicable. A coach or player may be selected
at any round. Guys like PeeWee Kirkland and Oscar Schmidt count at their respective primes.
Briefly explain your pick. At the end we could have a vote to see who has the ultimate
team. The teams represented at the end will play under current NBA rules. All managers must
draft at least 1 player/coach from the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s. Anyone
below the 1960s may be selected, however it’s not required. 15 players and a head coach to
each team. (120 total players + coach) 24 hours to make your pick from the last pick chosen.
Once one GM picks, the next is on the clock.

5 examples of picks;

Magic Johnson – 1986/1987 Magic’s ability to orchestrate his way to MVP and Finals MVP
brought showtime to 65 wins and the first of the back to back Lakers title.

Arvydas Sabonis – 1985/1986 Zalgiris was lead by Sabonis in his prime when the 7’4″ phenom
dominated in Lithuania and then the FIBA Club World Cup.

Herman Knowings – 1965/1966 His incredible athleticism and long wingspan was what allowed
this Rucker Park legend to block shots at will against NBA greats and grab the top of the
backboard no problem.

John Wooden (Coach) – 1966/1967 This coach won all 30 of his games that season with a
freshman Lew Alcindor to begin his continuous championship runs.

Tim Duncan – 2002/2003 Duncan fundamentally dominated the league while getting the MVP and
the finals MVP off of a 60 win season.

Anyways, would anyone be down for something like this??? I know I’ve been seeing some lurkers on here, lets do this!!!

I’m up for it, not sure about specifying the exact year as some players were at their peak for several years and you’d ideally want a hybrid of this.

All these lurkers and only 3 so far…? Hope we can get at least a few more heads to make it 8. If not, oh well… thought this site was a little more active than this. Seems to be… Anywho, don’t matter how long it takes, I’m still down if more join… Anyone is welcome. It’s not everyday that there’s an all time draft.
