OhCanada-ParticipantFor those who were wondering Andrew Wiggins will not be playing on team Canada the Fiba World Cup qaulifiers. Something going on between him and head coach Jay Triano. Really sounds dumb to me ever since this guy got his max contract hes lost every humble bit he had. I dont even care who’s right or wrong in this despute because I know for a fact Jay is a good coach and a respectable person so if he cant make up with Jay Triano then theres something wrong with Andrew. I also think Team Canada would love to have him and he would be a great piece likely number one option but we should be fine without him.

cohenbc1ParticipantI’ve never heard of most of these guys, but I want to root for a team that features the "Scrubb Brothers."
Canada should have at least one Scrubb on the court at all times!

zolaParticipantThis is great squad even without Wiggins. Good mix of NBA and European players. Pangos had amazing season in Zalgiris

BlueRivers25ParticipantRJ Barrett will be on Team Canada next year and beyond. He loves playing for his country.

OhCanada-ParticipantEveryone loves playing for thier country until they get a $100 million contract. Things change after that.

FuqdatassParticipantWhy should he play for the Canadian national team when he has a nice $146,450,000 contract?

kazamParticipantRumor is that Stauskas and Wiggins are both out until Triano leaves- which if that’s the case why not replace him sooner than later? He’s had a long run with Canada basketball but maybe time to go in a different direction.

bimirudParticipantWinning in FIBA basketball requires 3-pt shooting, defence, playmaking, rebounding and toughness.
Which of those qualities does Wiggins possess?

FuqdatassParticipantI wouldn’t either if I were in his shoes.
He’s got a nice $146,450,000 contract comin up. If I were in his shoes, I would quit playing after that contract is up and live the rest of my life comfortably like a fucking king.

OhCanada-ParticipantTriano is byfar the best Canadian coach. We cant get a better coach. Id rather them leave Stauskas and Wiggins off the team then replace an NBA Head Coach with Leo Rautins…

theballerwayParticipantMust be that big contract he signed…oh wait… It would appear that they are the only players with ample clout to contest/oppose the coaching brilliance of Jay Triano, judging from the roster…….Anyway Wiggins needs a summer off after playing for Thibs. He also needs top spendf time working on his game to actually be able to live up to that max contract.
As mentioned though even without him thats a very decent squad for qualifying tourny
