Its reported that Andrew Wiggins is asking Teams to recruit him other than FSU and Kentucky.  Kansas seems to be a interest of his after this report.

This is just adds weight to the situation that he wants to reclassify and wants to do it now.  With Kentucky full and FSU not looking like a good option to show case him skills.  Where do you see him ending up now.  He lists in his NEW list FSU, Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina, OSU, Syracuse.  Possible others depending on who he asks to recruit him.

I still feel he should go to FSU they have two good prospects coming in next year and a good squad currently.

UK-Wants to be part of super team, will blend in with the other stars. Great chance to win.

FSU-Fill fathers legacy. Can score 40 a game can he can get 40 shots if he wants them.

KU-Has a strong class coming in will be very deep. Can be the focus but still play team game. Good chance to win.

Cuse-He will get lots of tv, same as KU shaping up to be a good squad. Good Chance to win.

UNC-Not a huge class right now, maybe they get Voleh but will lose macadoo. Jordan might help or cast shadow. Ok chance to win.

    OSt. Leftfield wildcard.

What do you mean Kentucky is full? Didn’t seem to hurt MKG, Terrence Jones, or Darius Miller last year and Wiggins is better then all them.

I think the ball will be in the hands of the twins a lot. Im not saying he couldn’t play there he just isn’t gonna be clear cut "the man".

I wish WVU would make a push for him.. He already plays here in the state and woudnt have to move very far.  I am scared that Huggins is starting to push top recruits away with the way he coaches..

Rumor is that the Mountaineers will be a different team this year.. I hope so because nobody wants to play for a coach that wont let them be themselves and for the past 2 or 3 years, that is what Huggins has been doing.. Forcing players that arent defenders to prove themselves by defending.. I feel like you are setting someone up to fail.

You dont push someone into deep water if they cant swim.. And on top of that, you cant blame them when they drown..

You should never criticize a coach who forces players to defend, any basketball player worth his salt should be able to play both sides of the ball at least competently, would you rather he let them ignore D the way BYU did with Jimmer and he becomes an absolute bust in the NBA because of his complete liability? Top recruits have been spoiled by the Calipari treatment, but even Coach Cal makes his guys defend.

Trust me, I think it is stupid.. And, I am a huge Huggins supporter.  That being said, I dont think you can recruit a player that is a great shooter and scorer, and take him completly out of his element..

Can you make that kid defend? Yes.. Can you make him work for is playing time?? Yes.. But you cannot make that player change into something he is not.. You cant ask him to defend a great player on one end and then not give him the chance to play his game on offense..

Yes, Coach Cal makes his players defend but he almost turns them lose on the offensive end of the floor.. (Not a Coach Cal fan BTW..)  If a player is giving you effort on defense, where the game is mostly about effort, you have to let him do what he is good at on offense.. Huggs does not do that..

        Examples:

Jabari Hindes – Small player who is fantastic in the open court and really likes to push the ball. Bari had a 20 point game early in his freshman year when he was running up and down the floor at a good pace. All of a sudden, 2 games later, Huggins wont fast break.. Hindes is stuck in a half court offense so his production dropped dramatically.. Well, when this happens, his defense starts to fall off too. Now we have a player that is terrible in a half court game, which is all we are doing now, and cant or wont defend.. Huggins caused that problem..

Casey Mitchel – 6’4 shooting guard who lead the JUCO league in scoring. We broung this guy in to score.  Casey has a few games where he is scoring close to 20 or so points and all of sudden, we stop calling his number and he turns into a horrible defender. When he was scoring 20 points a game, it was okay for him to give up around 12 points because we were going positive in his battle. Well now, he is only scoring 8 points a game and still giving up 12?? That was also Huggins fault.

I dont know the problems they were having or what was happening behind closed doors.. What I do know is that Huggins recruits players, breaks them down to nothing (where they play horrible for a while), and the rebuilds them into a different player. It is annoying because he goes through players like Truck Bryant, who never get any better but still play 30 minutes a night for 4 years.. It a little hard to deal with..

Forgot his brother plays at Witchita St so if his parents wanted to be closer to both boys KU makes sense.

In the end for some reason I still think Kentucky wins this one.

if he went there he would basically fill the MKG role. Also it would forc one or 2 players to stay one more year because they wouldnt have the playing time to be a top pick. MKG played the 4 in college some, so andrew wiggins would be able to get time there.

Would Duke be in the mix? Coach K is one of the greatest college coaches ever so a year under him would do A-Wig no harm.

Also when I look at the 2014 Mock Draft on this site, I see the top 3 guys are all undecided which if Wiggins reclassifies means the top 4 guys potentially all have to make their college choices. This to me would mean each would have a knock on effect as if one goes to one team another could follow but where two guys both play the same position e.g Wiggins and Jabari Parker then this would not seem logical.

And with 4 top recruits still to be bagged would anyone bet against Coach Cal and Kentucky trying for at least another one of them. I know UK have the Harrison twins and Young but they are all mainly back courters so a Parker or Wiggins could be added and you have the 4 guys sharing the minutes at positions 1 to 3 between them with Parker and Wiggins playing a little 4 if needed. Certainly a Randle or Vonleh could be accomodated by UK easily.

Kansas would be a great choice if he wants to learn something before he turns pro,  likewise with OSU.  UNC would fit his style the best out of the other choices (outside of the 2 favorites) though since they play a more open style.

I know this is homerism, but why not UNLV? Anthony Bennett and Khem Birch are both from Canada and McDonald’s All Americans.

I think he should head over to Florida State.  He will be THE guy at Florida State, and could really become a legend on that campus, even if he only has one college year.  He’s just that good.
