 10 pts, 13 rbs, 10 blks. Great game for Bynum and in my opinion is the key to the Lakers success this post season.  I’m the furthest thing from a Lakers fan but I still think they are condtenders this season and are built for the playoffs.  Back to Bynum though…. In a postgame interview he was asked about his thoughts on the greats of basketball (Kareee, Russell, Wilt) and he said he respected them because he’s able to play the game today and make the money he does today because of them. This kid is so talented but always seems to do ruin it with some bone head action or comment.  In college I lived down the street from him and he was always driving around in his sparkley purple corvet with gold rims and we used to laugh at how rediculous he is.  He’s never grown up and time will tell if he ever does.  Thoughts?

He’s immature, but he’s not a bad kid. He’s never been into any off of the court type of trouble. He’s been in the league for awhile, but  he’s still so young. I’m not too concerned.

As long as he can stay healthy, I see him developing into a franchise center who can dominate the floor at both ends.

It’s really sad that Greg Oden wasn’t able to stay healthy, because I think they would’ve been a great big man rivalry.

Bynum is big athletic and very skilled. He has a left hand and a soft touch and hits ft’s. The skies the limit for him and he could be a 20 and 13 guy for the next decade. I wouldn’t trade Howard for him.

Bynum is not going anywhere and he may be the reason Kobe gets his 6th ring and possibly 7th.  If Bynum stays healthy and continues to play defense like that and improve.  Watch out.  I am also sad that Oden could not show how good he can be.  Maybe in another year or so.  I am kind of glad he did not choose to play this year because a lot of players took a pounding on their legs.

Not a huge Bynum fan.. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of him is him getting ejected then taking his jersey off like a playground punk after flattening Barea with that cheapshot last year… Sure he’s talented and has great size and all, I haven’t watched him play much recently so I hope he’s maturing at least a little..

 I’m with you Prez. I wouldn’t trade him for Howard either. Not that they are the same as the two I’m about to name but I see Howard as a Hsaq type and Bynum as a Duncan type. One dominates by power,Athletic ability while the other dominates with footwork and skill. Let’s get it Lake show

7 rings for Kobe wow lets not go crazy over 1 game beating a young small Nuggets team that has no superstar.

Also the Lakers still aren’t better than the Heat, Thunder and maybe the Spurs.

Lakers are still an aging team Kobe will be 34 next season, Gasol 32 and the bench and SF spot are still pretty weak. Who is stopping SFs like Durant, Lebron since Metta is not the same player he was in 2010 even.

They aren’t the Thunder, Spurs, Grizz or even the Clippers.

The Lakers got a great draw in the 1st rd and might sweept the Nuggs.

I agree the series with OKC will be a classic but I do like OKC becaz they have a lot more experience after last year.  Also guys like Ibaka, Harden are playing really well and they have some length to counter Gasol n Bynum with Ibaka, Perkins, Nazr, Durant.

With Howard’s back trouble, I wouldn’t trade Bynum for him anymore.  Back injuries have a way of lingering.  Dwight’s still better, but the gap continues to shrink.  I also don’t see the Lakers as real contenders unless, through some miracle, Bynum continues to play all-world D AND gets a lot more offensive touches.  10 points with his post-moves is just sinful.  The Lakers have long desperately needed a Korver type at the 3 to make teams pay for all the attention paid their big 3 and given that guys like Novak basically fall from the sky, I’m unsure why they haven’t found one.

 Ebanks did a pretty damn good job on Durant last Sunday in the comeback. And Artest has been an all-team defender since the All-star break IMO. Since finding out about his back injury, and getting the treatment needed for it, Artest became the guy LAL had wanted when they originally signed him. 2-way lockdown defender ho could be a second option on the perimeter. As old as LAL is, they really aren’t as old as it ould seem. Jordan Hill has began shoing that he has terrific potential as a 3rd big, Gasol is still able to get up and down the floor, not that his game really requires that much athleticism anyways. Sessions,Ebanks,McRoberts(ho I’d guess ill actually be traded), Eyenga are all young and could develop into players for the future.

Eyenga-potential Tony Allen type. MAy end up at the least a good defender/athlete off the bench who can hit a 3 hen left open.

Ebanks-solid stater ho can defend,get transition/hustle points, and hit shots. vision is underrated. 

Hill-terrific bench big who plays aggressive defense, rebounds good, and brings energy and hustle off the bench.

not bad for a team who’s new franchise player once Kobe leaves is only 24 and already a 19-13-2-2 third option. Add a couple of free-agent signins or even a Gasol trade for the right pieces and you’re talking about a team ho may not miss a beat after the KGB is dismantled.
