RUDEBOY_ParticipantFor years Fans have been Dogging the Blazers about going for Height and not talent..By picking Bowie over Jordan..Now they’re on the Blazers ASS Again for Drafting Oden over Durant..
Harrison Barnes is Consensus Number 1 Overall Pick next season..
Scouts Label Barnes the NBA’s next Superstar…Scouts Label Drummond the NBA’s next great Big Man..
But if both Barnes & Andre Drummond were in The 2011 Draft who would you Pick & Why?0 - Posted on: Mon, 09/13/2010 - 9:33am #400160

paint intruderParticipantI would try to see if Drummond really is a frinchise player.
If so, I would go with him because franchise bigs are rare and if you have one it’s easier, I guess, to surround him with the right wing players and a point guard.
Kobe, for example, needed Gasol.
Wade needed Shaq back then.
And I don’t think the Spurs would have one their titles without Duncan. But I might aswell be wrong. 😀

HitsterParticipantCurrently I’d favour Barnes but if Drummond does continue to develop then big men like him are vary rare so in due course he’d probably go ahead of Barnes if both were the same age and in the same draft.

stanford hoopsWe have to wait on drummond. He’s dominating highschool big men. It’s wayyyy easier to dominate highschool big men at his size because it’s rare he faces anyone his size or near his skill set. Gotta wait and see him in college against similar size and skill. You see how favors samario smauels struggled. It’s harder to do the same thing in college as you dis in hs as a big many then any other position

GrandmamaParticipantEither way you aren’t going wrong, it’s more of a need based answer…Some teams my need a big and some teams may need a wing that can score. They are both future all-stars.
I’m in a fantasy basketball dynasty league with a minor league system, get to pick college/high school players and when they turn pro you have them on the cheap. I own both Barnes and Drummond…don’t fail me boys.
