Adrian Wojnarowski just reported that The Golden State Warrios have acquired guards Jordan Crawford and Marshon Brooks from the Celtics. No details yet on who’s being sent back to Boston.

    Thoughts?

My guess is the Celts don’t get much. Maybe Festus Ezeli, or some other random player. This looks more like a money/tanking move if anything. I’ve also read that if Rondo looks/plays healthy at some point, then the Celtics WILL trade him. So look out for that

     Celtics get:

    – Heavily protected first from Philly that will likely turn into two 2nd round picks

    – Joel Anthony (who has a player option for next year for $4 million)

    Warriors get:

    – Crawford and Brooks

    Heat get:

    – Toney Douglas

The Warriors got a couple good players. Crawford was playing great for us, and Marshon is a talented offensive player when given minutes. I wish we would’ve kept Crawford. I know we’re tanking, I just hope we end up getting Embiid somehow.

Eh, Crawford has been pretty horrible lately.  Shooting like 35% from the field and 20% from 3 this month on a lot of shots.

And Brooks has been on the D-League affiliate of an awful team.  I don’t think he’ll be much of a difference maker.  He’s always been one of those guys that can score 15+ on any given night, but generally allows his man to score more points than he contributes.

Can’t really complain with getting those two guys for Toney Douglas though.

His shooting numbers have been down., but he’s still a capable scorer. However, I’ve been more impressed by his  court vision that he never displayed until this season. I thought he’d be a good back up combo guard behind Rondo and Bradley.

Heard the Warriors really wanted Hinrich, but the Bulls were asking for too much.  Hopefully they can still peddle Hinrich’s expiring contract ($4M) before the deadline, but this was an opportunity missed.

i dont understand the move for the warriors..they can use some inside scoring, but yet they go and add more jump shooters…

miami will save 7 million dollars in salary and luxury taxes this season and close to 15 million in salary and taxes next season……

The team that really could have used Jordan Crawford is Indian with Hill having his limitation on offense.

The Celtics do this deal and get back Joel Anthony who I’m sure will excercise his $4 millon option for next year?

They get the sixers 1st rounder that will most likely turn into 2 second rounders. With the sixers rebuilding it is almost two late firsts. Most importantly they aquired future assets that could be used in other trades.

It’s crazy how quickly Marshon Brooks went from being a highly touted rookie to a bench player, a throw in for a major trade, and now looks like another throw in for a trade of mediocre players. I don’t see him getting any more opportunity in Golden State than he had in Boston with Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, Harrison Barnes and Draymond Green clearly in front of him…heck Kent Bazemore had an awesome summer league and he hasn’t seen any signficant minutes.

Rondo is a upgrade over Crawford not a step back. Couple picks to use come draft day or trade deadline. Win in everyway for the Celtics. Brooks was getting 0 minutes anyway and he just got out of the D League. Added Rondo and picks Anthony can block shots or maybe do them a favor and decline his option.
