kobyzParticipantsuggestion by me: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=mtjo2tj
that will give Pistons a strong starting 5 that could make some noise, still could be left with around 12-14 million cap space to improve the team even more, after amnesty CV of course.
Evan Turner/Will Bynum
Brandon Knight/Kyle Singler/Kim English
Rudy Gay/Luigi Datome/Khris Middleton
Josh Smith/Charlie Villanueva/Tony Mitchell
Greg Monroe/Marcus Camby/Vyacheslav KravtsovRaptors and 76ers ar two teams that would like to tank and rebuilding a little so this trade absoulty good for them, Raptors get Drummond an high profile prospect to try to develop and put long side Valanciunas to try to build a young twin towers… Sixers instead of keeping Turner, extend and raise him next year while not sure he is in their plan after drafting MCW which they too similar, they getting two young talanted players who fit bettr.

stifler101Participantsimpy put, i like the idea of of pistons getting rid of a big (more likely to be monroe though) so smith doesn’t play SF, but they’re not trading drummond & KCP for rudy gay, marcus camby, and evan turner

ThenilonatorParticipantYou have just traded away the future of the pistons franchise for a shot at a 6-8 seed

kobyzParticipantDrummond is the future? he is unproven player and still a project, he is not a sure star at all like you trying to make him, still could end up a bust, please you guys should think rationally and not look only on superficial…
the Pistons get fairly well and enough in this deal, also getting ready players to help right away, players that even young and still have room to improve much more like Turner…0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/11/2013 - 2:08am #818400

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantIf you think Drummond is really that bad then the Raptors pretty much traded their best player and a prospect SG for three scrubs, according to you.

kobyzParticipanttbh i wasn’t sure from the Raptors side because i’m not a Drummond beliver… but he has right now apparently strong hype and i guss they would like to take a chance on him when they going to a tanking year and would like to remove Gay salary in that scenario…

PortlandTrailblazers21ParticipantThe pistons aren’t going to want to give up Drummond, especially since there are similar ways of trading those players but not losing Drummond

ThenilonatorParticipantThe excitement around what Drummond might (and probably should) turn into with the always high expectation of any lottery pick its just way too early to make this trade. If Drummond goes to Toronto and does what most expect he will and MCP is productive in Philly there would be pistons front office workers looking for employment

kobyzParticipantand if Pistons keep Drummond they could end up empty on both sides with him not answers those high expectation and even become a bust(and again i tell you Drummond is far away a sure thing to become a good player, as we knowing his poor work ethic, demeanor, mental weakness and lack fire and will)… they should try to trade him right now while they want to win, full at the front court positions with Smith and Monroe and needing help at 1-3 positions, and while Drummond isn’t a ready player and it seems has good trade value…

slash787ParticipantThere are about 10-15 players in the league the Pistons would trade Drummond for and that is about it. The Pistons wouldn’t trade Drummond for a guy like Rudy Gay, Evan Turner, hell even Damian Lillard. Drummond is going no where.

kobyzParticipanti really fail to understand what happened to you all and why you all against this trade from Detroit side… Pistons with this trade at worst will be 6 seed, they will be talanted team, young, exciting, dinamic, athletic, versatile, hungry team with Chip on their shoulder… the hell they could be stronger than the new Brooklyn and could give fits to Chicago and Indiana also and from there the sky is the limit… really guys you need somtimes to think out of the box and not only go like: Drummond is strong, Drummond is athletic, Drummond can dunk, Drummond is the Best!!!
0- Posted on: Thu, 07/11/2013 - 8:17am #818585
mcbaileyParticipantBecause that team still doesn’t go anywhere. You say “at worst a 6 seed” but frankly that’s optimistic. Most of those players have peaked, but Drummond has sky-high potential. So you’re trading a potential superstar for a few borderline all stars and some aging pieces who will be gone soon anyway.
It’s like the Atlanta Hawks all over again. They’d be stuck in purgatory forever until the GM that makes this move is either dead or they realize it was a huge mistake.
0- Posted on: Thu, 07/11/2013 - 8:54am #818700

kobyzParticipantpotential superstar? really it need to stop!! Drummond has show potential last year but still didn’t earn a starting spot, lost it to Jason Maxiell… you making him someone untouchable for no good reason, like we speaking about a can’t miss and extraordinary prospect, he didn’t prove that he is worthy for this kind of treatment, Drummond still has slight chance reaching his potential beacuse a lot of attribute that he lacks, mental, mind and skill wise…

mcbaileyParticipantI didn’t say he’s untouchable. I said he isn’t touchable for the people you’d be getting back.
