Amar’e has learned something from Shaq. Since the Diesel arrived in the Valley of the Sun, Stoudemire has become more adept at playing the media to get what he wants. He was an outspoken critic of Terry Porter. Goodbye, Terry. He created some hype about himself when he said that he’s better than Chris Bosh.(http://dimemag.com/2009/05/amare-im-better-than-chris-bosh/) Then he had sports pundits going gaga over that debate. And now, he sounds like he’s trying to get the trade rumor mill moving.

On DC radio, Amar’e waxed poetic about how much he loves this city. He said that there’s a 50% chance that he’s back in Phoenix next season. When asked what the Wizards chances of winning a ‘chip are, he responded: “You might just be a number one jersey away.”

We don’t know whether this rumor existed before Amar’e’s Washington love-fest or not. But there is now an official “Amar’e-to-the-Wizards” rumor out there:

There is yet another rumor running around about one of the Phoenix Three being traded. Over the weekend we saw reports that the Suns might send Amare Stoudemire – yes, here we go with Stoudemire trade rumors again – to the Washington Wizards for Antawn Jamison, the expiring contract of Mike James, and the #5 pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.

Ya this looks like a good trade Amare could play his natural position at power forward and Haywood could play centre although I think trading the fifth pick is a little steep. Maybe a add Dominic McGuire.

No way should the Wizards trade the pick. Keep the pick it is someone that will be with you for three years, Amare will be with the Wizards for one and then he might go to a bigger name franchise for less money when he is a free agent so that he can start winning championships. He might sign with Cleveland or N.Y. to play with Lebron James. Move James to the four and play stoudamire at the 5. That team would not just run teams out of the gym it would be like watching a Nascar race a snail.

Dude what are you talking about…this is a great trade first of all. And amare playing the 5!? Bron playing the 4?! no coach in their right mind would move Lebron to the 4 which would negate so many qualities that he has while playing the 2 or 3. hed also get way to tired guarding and banging against other post players because they are just going to try to wear him down. you are obviously not a wizard fan because any wizard fan knows that we cant help our team out AT ALL with this years fifth pick. there is no value after black griffin. james harden could be a good fit, but wayyyyy to high at 5. but hes going to go to a team early in the draft because the draft is so darn weak. After Blake Griffin….not alot of NBA talent. the point guards in this draft for the most part will all work out.

      With Amare

      Gilbert Arenas – Point Guard
      Stevenson – Shooting Guard
      Caron – Small Forward
      Amare – Power Forward
      Haywood (Committee) – Center

Without Amare – Just flat out not as good of a team.

I love antawn jamison, hell play amazing well into his thirties because of his style of play, but amare can supply us with a better chance to win.

        1. Stevenson is not very good. They are better with Caron playing shooting guard.

        2. Don’t trade the pick.

        3. Amare has always played better at center than power forward though he seems to have a small body for center his athleticism helps him to make up for it on defense and makes him a much bigger miss match on offense. Look at his numbers when he played center while Shawn Marion was playing powerforward. Now look at his numbers with Shaq. Big difference right?

        4. Look at the numbers Antawn Jamison put up last year. Don’t trade him.

        P.G. Stephen Curry
        S.G. Arenas
        S.F. Caron Butler
        P.F. Antawn Jamison
        C. Brendan Haywood.

        That is way better.

THis line up would be ill with Amare, but the Wizards might have to give up Caron Butler and Somebody Esle.

    Pg–Steph Curry
    SG–Arenas
    Sf-Jamison-
    PF-Amare
    C-Haywood

As much as Coach Casey appreciated last season’s defensive effort, he hasn’t been able to resist explaining how Lowry and Fields will give him defenders on the perimeter who can defend their own man without help. Lowry represents a significant upgrade over Jose Calderon defensively and as impressive as James Johnson’s defensive statistics were last season, when Casey replaced him with D-League call-up Alan Anderson, the Raptors’ defense didn’t miss a beat.

Why Darius Johnson-Odom May Have the Edge: The Los Angeles Lakers sent $500k to the Dallas Mavericks for the opportunity to draft Darius Johnson-Odom with the 55th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
