primetime24kParticipantAlright, I have been looming for quite a while now and finally decided to make a user name and attempt to contribute to this great forum…
A little background. Chicago sports fan (Bulls fan in basketball obviously)… Just graduated University of Illinois with masters, so 23 years old…
Have been an avid NBA fan for quite a while now. Involved in some keeper leagues which keeps me interested in the future NBA prospects. I watched the summer league games on NBATV just like ya’ll did. Any other questions, just ask, but in the mean time, I’ll try to pave my way….
by the way… Kobe >>>>>>>>>>>> Lebron

0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/29/2010 - 8:18am #364995
primetime24kParticipantwith that… I think Kobe has the ability to make tougher shots and is more well rounded on his scoring… however, with that said, MJ> Kobe

leppyParticipantmichael jordan was able to get hand checked kobe in not allowed to be. do you know how much easier it is to score when they can’t hand check
michael jordan never has played a game 7 nba finals
kobe shot 41% for his first 5 nba finals series. how is that being a good scorer again. inefficient is not good.
shaq carried him for the first three with his great fg% and kobe lost the other two.

BasterdInABasketParticipantLike dipt said “Give yourself points, that seems to be what most people do here, LOL”
And as you can see people complain about other people giving themselves points
And they always bring up handchecking when comparing NBA today and NBA from the 80s and 90s like if any player nowadays would have played back then they would have averaged at 10 points less per game

WizardofOzParticipantThe thing about MJ and Kobe is that even though MJ had to go through handchecking, In Kobe’s era, there are better athletes and it’s harder to get past them. So it kind of balances out.

SlimParticipant“In Kobe’s era, there are better athletes and it’s harder to get past them”
