hopefully he pulls a kenny powers, comes back from mexico (or in his case turkey), and f ucks all the doubters in the a$$

RUDEBOY_ParticipantQuestion??
If Iverson refuse to play for a NBA team like Memphis ,why would he go into a place not known for basketball like Turkey?
I dont expect him to be there the entire season..Before he quits on them….

IndianaBasketballParticipantHe was traded to Detroit and quit on them before the playoffs. Quit on Memphis after coming into camp out of shape and complaining about PT (they gave him the key to the damn city and he STILL quit!). He was quiet in Philadelphia. Rumors about being an alcoholic and gambling. Now he’s playing in Turkey.
This is a sad ending to a HOF career.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantSo what he gets a chance to play the game he loves…I’d take a deal to play in Turkey because I love the game, and who knows maybe he gets a chance to show the NBA he’s still got a season or two of good basketball left…I continue to say It…Iverson is not finished in The NBA…I’ll bet a stack he makes it back and helps upset a team in The Playoffs…The Knicks could use an Iverson to be honest…

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI dont know about anyone else but i’m not HATING on Iverson ..Scarecrow,I might be the biggest Iverson fan there is..I was 1 of the 1st people that hoped Memphis would sign him….The whole city was happy to hear he was going there..If he was waiting to wait he could’ve been the starting point guard..He had the backing of the owner..But he left .
It seems like he’s no longer focused on playing ball anymore…

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantIverson could be the US all over Comcast sports net…They have a local show called Daily News Live he’d be asked to co-host…Philly takes care of their former stars…Donyell Marshall played for us one season and was hired as a Basketball commentator for Sixers pre and post games…Iverson was 1 of the biggest stars world wide…That’s why he was still voted into the All star Game Last year…He’s over there to play basketball…He’s gonna get another shot in The NBA…He just wants to prove to the League he can do it as the Man…I’m so sure that he’ll be back in The NBA competing for a championship (A contender is going to grab him for the post season, bet on It…) That I’ll delete my account if he doesn’t return at some point this year or next…I don’t care about what happened in Memphis, I was high on the Grizzles and AI too…I honestly thought he could help that team get into the Playoffs…but it didn’t happen…I was happy to see AI in a Sixers uniform again and honestly think he’ll come back to the Sixers once we Trade Lou Will and give AI the Back Up PG and 6th man role he deserves…AI will forever be a Legend in Philadelphia…They’ll be there for AI when he retires, bet on that too…It’s not about money, it’s about sending a message for the Answer

RUDEBOY_ParticipantIverson is known to be disrupted..So why would a team thats going into the playoffs want to add him and destroy team chemistry?

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantdestroy a playoff teams chemistry…That’s bull…I’d almost bet AI is trying to get back into league and prove otherwise…why would he take minimum money to play in Turkey…AI is not Marbury, he’s not a loon…He may have had some personal demons as we all do…that’s why I think he went to Turkey, to get away from the hype and get back in shape…He’ll be a guy that everyone will regret writing off…
Rude Boy ask yourself…why would an international star( and yes AI is still a star in any Hood,City,State or Country) go to Turkey besides anything other than Ball…he could be stepping out and showing off in every club in the US…I feel like it’s redemption time for the Answer

RUDEBOY_Participantthere are reasons why nobody wanted to sign him when he became a free agent..those people are closer to him and know him much better than you & i do..Even his old coach Larry Brown didnt say the Bobcats should sign him….And after trading Felton they really could’ve used him..But Brown did say that he shouldn’t end his great career by playing in Turkey…Iverson can gain nothing by going over there..Everyone already knows he still can contribute..The problem with him has been his attitude…And scoring 35 points a game against 2nd rank players and being name MVP will not change the way GMs feel about him..

IndianaBasketballParticipantNot only was Iverson out of shape and coming out of a hamstring injury (team doctor had him set to play limited minutes), he was also working the booze out of his pores.
