IndianaBasketballParticipantThe first fan returns were released today. If you haven’t seen them yet, here you go:
http://www.nba.com/article/2017/01/05/2017-all-star-ballot-first-returns-official-release
I’m not surprised at the first returns. A lot of people are complaining about Zaza, but when you consider the fans only count for 50% of the vote this year (media 25% and coaches 25%), the chances are slim he’ll get in. Davis and Leonard will get those other two forward spots. I think it’s cool that Zaza’s fans are supporting him though lol.
Some people are also complaining about Steph being ahead of Westbrook & Harden, but they’re all basically neck and neck. That’s a race that’ll remain tight until the end.
D. Wade isn’t deserving, but still has the fan support. Hopefully, DeRozan catches him.
Who would be your 12 All-Stars on each roster?

BleedGreen808ParticipantRose having more votes than Lowry, Wall, and Kemba for guards in the East is also questionable. Thankfully fans only account for 50% of the vote now.

IndianaBasketballParticipantIt’s definitely questionable, but not suprising since he’s always been popular amongst the fans and now is in a huge market. He’s played well this season, but obviously not better than Lowry or Walker.
Walker’s vote numbers are just sad.

BleedGreen808ParticipantYeah I get why Rose is getting votes from fans but I don’t see the point in voting for players who aren’t deserving of making the All Star game.

FritzParticipantIt would be a shame if Kemba did not get in. Especially considering the All-Star game was supposed to be in Charlotte this year. If it was never moved, there would be a lot more awareness of voting for Kemba in Charlotte and he would have likely got voted in. Poor Kemba may never get an All-Star game because the point guard position is only getting stronger. The fans need to be left out of the vote completely.
Take for instance Embiid. The meme god. Although I actually believe he is somewhat deserving (his defensive impact is crazy good already) Embiid has got 1/3rd of his All-Star votes from RT’s of three of his own tweets. If the method doesnt change then you can pencil in Embiid for the next 15 All star games because he is the league leader by far in social media savyness.

ZouldiersParticipantGiannis Antetokounmpo is finally getting the recognition he deserves. So happy man. This guy has been on a tear.

llperezi actually just voted myself for the first time about 20 minutes ago. I went with the 3 cavs plus isaiah thomas and the greek freak for the east. And in the west i went harden, westbrook, durant, cousins, davis. Leonard was my biggest snub but i dont like the spurs so oh well.

Memphis MadnessParticipantSo no ZaZa? The fans should vote! Let the coaches vote for the second team! So the NBA has super delegates too, huh? So the fans make ZaZa the second most popular vote then how many votes do the coaches get? If I were an Eastern Conference coach I would vote for ZaZa so that the East has a better shot at winning the All Star Game.

Ahkasi ClayParticipantI know the new "kobe rule" is suppose to keep undeserving players from getting in, but… I am voting for ZaZa, some people just want to watch the (NBA) world burn.

Robb_CParticipantIf ZAZA gets Voted in.. Its Russia’s Fault.
