     All Overweight Squad.

Eddy Curry – Anti streamlined physique resulted in minimal rebounds/blocks

Shawn Kemp – Went from dunking basketballs to dunking donuts

Joel Embiid – Meant to be recovering from surgery, yet instead balloons out to 300lbs

Robert Traylor – Doubled as a tractor

Oliver Miller – Should have stuck to Miller Lights

Boros Diaw – Contract legit states that he loses pay of his weight goes up

Vanessa Hayden – Reported to Minesotta Lynx 20lbs overweight…possibly due to an imbalance between calories consumed and expended.

Patty Mills – Earned the nickname Fatty Patty by coach Pop before finally getting in shape.

    Anyone Ive missed?

No wonder. Anytime someone tells him to eat a salad, he throws a tantrum.

Lol …I was inspired by a Bleacher Report article and if it’s good enough for Turner and their Billion Dollar company to publish…then it’s good enough for the penny-stock equivalent in NBAdraft.net. I disagreed with their choices though.

And there’s basically no action going on anywhere. If there’s ever a time for this thread…it’s now.

I’m sure the moderators would love your advice to users that should stay away from the forums for 2 months based on a lack of basketball activity.

At least the others included a clever quip in their response.

To be fair..unless theres a definitive list of over weight players…this exercise is just too hard to do without excluding anyone.

As seen by the OP’s omissions.

Man, I was so close to including him but I thought it was too harsh.

I wasn’t sure if he just had chubby cheeks and a roundish physique…or if he was just too heavy.

I need to watch more videos of him trying to hustle back in transition to be certain.

Michael Sweetney- anyone else watch TBT this summer? He barely got off the bench for his team.

Lenny Cooke- never made the NBA but still a well known name. Watched his documentary.

Ironically he’s very active in the Memphis Homeless community as a food distributor.

But is he the cause of the shortage to begin with?

There have been lots of large of girth NBA players, and sometimes that was made them great players.

When Barkley was 300 pounds for the 76ers he was unstoppable, among the league leaders in field goal shooting and still running on the fast break.

Barkley was called Round Mound of Rebound, and he was an All-Star when he was called by some as being overweight.

Some other players had nicknames, that indicate their girth too.

Big Snacks Jerome James, a center always around 300 pounds.

Big Country Bryant Reeves, he didn’t get extra Big until possibly the lockout and when the NBA started up he wasn’t too fit.

Hot Plate John Williams, he isn’t the Cav Hot Rod John Williams but played at the same time.  Hot Plate was 6-9 but because of his weight could defend centers.

Fat Lever would not be someone for this team though, that was just his shortened first name.

Stanley Roberts, Thomas Hamilton, over 7-0 tall and said to be way over 300 pounds.  Kevin Duckworth might have been an extra heavy too, but he could get position inside and score.

Antoine Walker, as his career went along some fans said he was getting wider.  Baron Davis had a different combination of a guard with athletic ability and a wider body than other guards.

There are some XXXXL size players who were very important due to their size, and offensive rebounds and great screens and inside scoring can improve for some players when pounds are added.

Also, there is a bit of a difference for the bigger players, some have always been naturally extra large and played well and at their best like that, and their are others like Shawn Kemp that suddenly went from athletic to not able to jump and wide.

Shaq was always a naturally huge guy and he was rumoured to be nearer 400lbs than his listed 325lbs in his post Laker days. He was certainly widely regarded as being well over 350lbs but he was still a formidable player.

      Plenty of love for both.

In fact, experts in seismic activity were originally relieved when Roberts went to Orlando, as it was a significant distance away from the volatile San Andreas faultlines

kevin love was a real big boy earlier in his career, and he used it well (its mostly his great positioning, but the added girth prob helped get some rebounds). now he’s pictured in espn’s "body" issue and dude is looking trim. there nothing to eat in cleveland?

There’s nowhere cool to eat in Cleveland, according to Joakim Noah.

And a man of Kevin Love’s stature is hardly going to be seen in a take-out joint.

Joel Embiid never ballooned to 300 lbs. They reported that in January, but then a report came out that his max weight was 275. If you saw Embiid on the sideline every game you’d know there’s no way he was near 300, unless it was the leanest 300 lbs of all time

When I was 16 I worked at a dry cleaner in a suburb of Cleveland. The late Traylor’s then-girlfriend brought in a pair of his baggy jeans. I got in one leg and a co-worker got in the other, just for grins.
