Someone said were drafting Coaches too right? I’ll pick Arvydas Sabonis just in case I run into Popavich and he tries to ”hack a Shaq” Chamberlain.
7’2 300 pounds, skilled like Jokic, moved like Shaq. Was a consistent 20 and 10 guy for Real Madrid and in the argument for best European player of alltime.

    I was thinking the same thing but Schmidt never played in the NBA. Sabonis did right. Also said players in their prime so the picks fine.

  My only question with Sabonis is what version of him you would get? Are we talking about the pre-nba 80s version who was arguably one of the best players in the world or the 90s nba version who was well past his prime?

  Fun fact about Rick Barry: His last season, 1979-80, was the debut season for the 3-point line. Barry was tied for 1st in 3-point attempts that year, at 3.1 (despite only averaging 25 minutes per game).
  By comparison Larry Bird took 1.7 threes. Only 18 players averaged even one attempt per game. Barry was 9th in 3-point percentage at 33%.

  Amazing a peak T-Mac is so low also how low the Mailman was but this is a great topic and I’m loving seeing all the picks. The overall winning team voting will be fun and a coaches round will be original. Damn. I was really hoping t-Mac would fall one more spot. People forget how good he was because his prime was relatively short. But when he was at his peak he was arguably just as good as Kobe if not better. Huge steal at this point.

Since Chris Paul is my starter at pg I’ll go for a backup with some size to matchup against bigger guards. I’m going way back in the time machine to take Walt “Clyde” Frazier.
For my next pick, I was really hoping for T-Mac but I’ll pivot to another high-scoring forward from the same era. Not quite as good as prime McGrady but better overall career. I’m taking Paul Pierce.
