I think most agree 90’s would beat 2000’s in my last post. So how do you think the 1990’s would do against the 80’s. It’s tuff narrowing down the 80’s but here’s my teams, remember I had shaq on the 2000’s squad.

    My 1990’s…………………………..my 1980’s
    1 Gary Payton…………………….1 Magic Johnson
    2 Michael Jordan…………………2 Adrian dantley
    3 Scottie pippen………………….3 Larry Bird
    4 Karl Malone……………………..4 Moses Malone
    5 Hakeem Olajuwon…………….5 Kareem

    Bench………………………………..bench
    1John Stockton…………………..Isiah Thomas
    2 Clyde drexler…………………..George gervin
    3 Charles Barkley ………………dr.j
    4 Patrick Ewing…………………..Dominque wilkins
    5 David Robinson……………….Kevin mchale

    Reggie miller……….,……………Ralph sampson
    Dennis rodman………………….Robert parish
    grant hill……………………………Alex English

Some players are out of position, but these guys are considered the best to me. Completed on my iPhone so it might be messed up alittle. I can’t pick a winner yet, I’ll post back later, tell me what you think

I’m going 90’s I think they have the depth to win this game, and they got Jordan. I don’t think Jordan would lose a game like this, their would be a lot of hard fouls in that game.

I put shaq in the 2000’s because of his 4 championshipS and mvps, but yes it’s debatable

It would be hard for me to think that the 90’s team could lose. Jordan is the best ever. I would love to see Kareem vs Hakeem/Robinson/Ewing. Great thread.

The 90’s all the way, and here’s my reasoning for it: Defence wins!

Guys like Magic, Bird, Malone, Dantley, Gervin, English, Sampson, Nique were great players but poor to average defenders. Mchale was a great defender but he and Kareem are the only players from that 80s squad that I would place among the ton ten of their respective positions defensively in NBA history.

Wheras the 90s team has Pippin (greatest defensive SF of all time), Payton (along with Frazier arguably the greatest defensive PG of all time), MJ (one of the greatest defensive SG of all time), Olajuwon (arguaby the greatest defensive center of all time along with Russell), Rodman (one of the greatest defensive PF of all time) as well as other very good defensive players in Robinson, Stockton and Malone.
