    Wow just wow…… Akil Mitchell, who you may remember from his virginia days, who now plays for the New Zealand Breakers in the NBL has just suffered, in my opinion the worst and most horrific basketball injury of all time after getting his eye poked completely out of his socket by Tony Mitchell in an accidental play. This is a seriously sad moment for a great young player.

    As of now he has been discharged from North Shore hospital with vision in the eye and doctors say the damage is significantly less than they expected it to be, however he will still undertake further treatments tomorrow.

    OMG!! I thought nothing could top Louisville’s Kevin Ware’s injury.But this certainly tops it..Thank God he’s regaining vision in that eye.
