gatorheelsParticipantI don’t think he makes it in the league. He will probably play overseas. I really think he probably doesn’t even get drafted.

rvirsalParticipanti think he can play. he can be a steal in the second round if drafted by the right team. he was supposed to be a better basketball player than gay, marcus williams and boone.

bdoody42ParticipantI think Price can be a good backup in the league for a very good point guard. Somewhere he can play just 10-12 minutes a game against other teams backups. He is very good on ball defender, and can also play the passing lanes.
I don’t see him as a starter in the NBA.0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/03/2009 - 9:50pm #156457
deuce4offTo say this kid won’t get drafted is nonsense. Jim Calhoun stated “A.J. Price would have been the best player on the 2006 team had he been eligible.” That team consisted of players such as Rudy Gay, Charlie Villenueva, Marcus Williams and more. He has had to overcome a lot of adversity throughout his college career and was the unquestioned leader for UCONN this past year. He has great size for a PG and is an extremely deadly shooter. This kid has the heart or a lion, is extremely clutch, and has the skill to back it up. Price will be a steal for someone early 2nd round and I think he has a great chance to become a starter in the league.

HueBoND 2001ParticipantI hate to say it but none of the NY gaurds have ever been great though slated to have the best gaurds..This guy is flip murray junior with less height and athleticism. THinkk of anthony roberson, jamal tinsley combination. Good back up….

gatorheelsParticipantHave you guys watched this dude even play? Saying he would have been the best player on the 2006 Uconn team is the dumbest statement I have ever heard. Now way is he better than Gay, Villenueva, or Marcus Williams. With a draft filled with a ton of PG’s there is a descent chance he won’t be drafted. If he does get drafted it will be late in the 2nd round.

gatorheelsParticipantI agree though Price has been through a lot and I hope he does get drafted. I wasn’t that impressed with his play this year though. He had a bad game against Mich St. in the final four, not that I am judging him off one game.

ctw724ParticipantIf the Bulls trade Hinrich, I wouldn’t mind seeing him back-up Rose.
