I see that Adonis Thomas is projected 3rd for the 2013 mock draft and was 2nd a couple of weeks ago.  Now I don’t want to sound ignorant but I honestly don’t know too much about him and am not sure why he is thought of so highly.  I know he’s a terrific athlete and has good strength but that is pretty much it.  I am not putting him down, I just would like to know why he is ranked so highly since he is not talked about nearly as much as Rivers, Drummond, Kabongo, Wroten, Teague, A. Davis, Gilchrist, Muhammad or even Lebryan Nash.  Thanks in advance.

He is a strong wing player, and is considered a “long term” prospect, meaning he isn’t considered to make the one-and-done route because he still has a lot of polishing to do in his game. His game resembles Corey Maggette. He already has an NBA body, but needs to work on his perimeter skills, to be a lottery selection, which is why he is not expected to declare until 2013 draft.

I see a young Bill Walker, before he developed his 3pt shot/Rodney Carney. I like the kid a lot but I’m sick of getting overhyped on all these super athletes that are so fun to watch, just to see them never develop the rest of there game (James White/Rodney Williams) I like the kid alot though and hope he does like a VC or J-Rich.
