It is the class of 2012 vs the class of 2013…class of 2012 is leading 58-52…great game so far…standouts are :

Xavier Johnson:  22 first half pts and doing it every which way…looks great!!!

Solomn Poole: super athletic albeit undersized 2 guard with 2 highlight dunks in first half( dude can really fly)

Yogi Ferell: extremely quick with ball..and has been hitting the 3 ball as well as dishing out dimes

Theo Pinson: espn #1 in class of 2014 is truly a beast.  Super athletic with great handles, deep range and tremendous length…looks really good

Trey Lyles:  class of 2014 and youngest player on floor….6’9” with handles and deadly jumper…looks really good as well with 2 dribble drive pull up jumpers that hit nothing but net

Gabe York:  Arizona lucky to have this combo guard.  Flat out scorer…with the 3 ball or dribble drive.  A couple beautiful assits he dished out also

OOOO YA…guess whos playing in the next game……ANDRE DRUMMOND vs SHABAZZZ( shabazz might not play cuz ankle tho)

Kaleb Tarnswiski;  Looks AWESOME…runs the floor great…very athletic…excellent hands…good rebounder…dominating force inside right now….totally out playing his teammate and fellow center DaJuan Coleman

For some reason Mike Dunlevy Sr (coach of 2012 squad) is not really playing Kyle Anderson, Perry Ellis or Shaq Goodwin very much

     are you watching the game???

in this game his hands look great…has caught a number of tricky passes by yogi ferell and kyle anderson and has thrown them down for dunks

has only muffed 2 passes of all hist catches and 1 pass was behind him.

This game he’s looked good….even his hands

thats because i’m going by all his games and not just this game. His hands are something he needs to work on. Thats pretty much one of the only bad things scouts have said about him, his hands

I was giving FIRST half analysis…and its funny as I was writing that….yogi came down the lane and threw a crazy behind the back pass to Kaleb that caught him off guard…he adjusted…caught it easily…and BOOFED it…right after that the anouncers went on for about 2 minutes saying how good his hands looked…lol…anyways….ANDRE DRUMMOND coming up next!!!

Like i said ONE game. If he was a bad three point shooter and hit threes this one game you would probably think he’s a good three point shooter and discount all the rest of his games when he was missing threes. My point being is scouts say he needs to work on his hands. One good game of catching the ball doesn’t change that, thats the point i was making.

Anyway watching this next game it seems these players are much bigger on both size and looks more like a varsity game to last games J.V

I said he has shown excellent hands in the first half…and he did…I didnt say thats the staple of his game or write him into the hall of fame…if you watched the game(you clearly didnt) you would agree that in THIS game he had great hands…once again  I was talking about THIS game…not what he has dispalyed throughout his career thus far.

Young guns looking pretty good. Drummund is very fluid but doesn’t seem to have a very soft touch and doesn’t give effort all the time( but when he does good lawd). Just like last game the guards don’t seem to want to get the ball down low to much.

2013 Red is up on 2012 Blue. Been a great game so far, and 2013 was up by as much as 16. 2012 really started coming back in the 2nd half, should be a fight to the finish. Definitely a handful of lottery picks in this game. The Harrison twins look fantastic, Chris Walker could be special, incredible athlete given his size and length. Drummond shows flashes of being unstoppable, but you can see where he could assert a little more effort, maybe show a little more awareness in boxing out. He is so good that he sometimes seems to lose interest, but he just is an incredibly rare physical specimen, with athleticism and and feel for the game. I have serious doubts about whether Rodney Purvis is a PG, definitely more of a scoring guard to me, but he is explosive. Amile Jefferson and Jeremy Hollowell were pretty instrumental in this comeback, along with prototypical Bo Ryan player Sam Dekker. For stat heads, they have box scores from Day 3 and cumulative stats here:

Drummond is capable of being so much better tha he plays. He’s physically and atheletically gifted, but he doesn’t always use his physical gifts to his advantage. Too many times does he settle for the soft hook on the block instead of overpowering his defender likes he’s capable of. And he tends to play too nonchalant. Sometimes he goes up too soft on layups and rebounds, and he usuallu doesn’t box out, and isn’t a very good help defender at this stage.

But aside from his flaws, he has traits that cannoty be taught. He has prototypicla height for a PF/C, long arms, great hands, and a huge frame. But before he becomes the "next big thing", he has to get his head in the game first.
