DondiJohnParticipantSeth Curry to the Blazers. Im not gonna lie, this will not put them with the likes of Warriors Lakers or Rockets. But with Seth they get another combo guard that can play 1 or 2. Barring injuries he might contend for 6th man of the year

BasterdInABasketParticipantI’m so confused by the Blazers roster with their signings and draft picks.
CJ and Damian are cemented in at the 1-2 for big minutes. They have Turner, Stauskas, Curry and they draft Trent Jr and Simons. I imagine the rookies will be spending A LOT of time on their G League team and correct me if I’m wrong but they don’t have one do they.

Striver347ParticipantPains me as a Blazer fan to write this and I’ll write it all the same, I think CJ is on the way out. The high volume of guards we’ve been signing can only suggest that at least one of the imcumbent guards is on the way out, and I think CJ is more likely than Damian to be moved by next offseason.
While I think our draft for guards definitely had some sensibility to it as Napier and Connaughton were not producing as much as we needed them to, the Curry and Stauskas signings are value pickups on undervalued shooters in the league. Curry is also quite the playmaker.
These signings make me wish we drafted Musa even more. I’m also still aching from missing out on Hezonja. While these moves look confounding, I think Olshey really knows how to evaluate quality talent that is undervalued (this includes Stauskas, for better or worse).
I agree with the idea that Anfernee and Gary will spend time in the G-League. It seems inevitable.
