I think the Heat should trade Jermaine O’Neal and Dorrell Wright, to the Houston Rockets, for Tracy Mcgrady and Joey Dorsey…The Rockets needs a center and the Miami Heat needs another star player /playmaker, to play alongside Dwyane Wade and Michael Beasley, this deal makes perfect sense

Add a first round to the rockets side as well if this trade were to go down. With McGrady set to make 22 mil in his contract season, we can get a lot more than a broken down O’Neal with him, so at least first rounder would have to be added for them to even consider.

The Miami Heat could follow this deal up by signing and trading Robert Dozier, and Mark Blount, to the Knicks for Eddy Curry…If healthy the Heat starting lineup would be Eddy Curry, Michael Beasley, Tracy Mcgrady, Dwyane Wade, and Mario Chalmers, with their sixth man being Daequan Cook…This could be a nice squad if they stay healthy

Done checked that, this is the last year of Blount’s deal, I research stuff before I post it. I already know the Knicks don’t want any contracts beyond 2010…Just like I think they should trade former Wizard, Jared Jeffries, back to the Washington, for the expiring contract of Mike James…Then the Knicks could focus on signing Ramon Sessions

The 1st deal does make sense, I agree.

The 2nd deal, would make the Knicks a bad team, because they would be trading a guy like Curry (who isnt a difference-maker in win and losses, but who does show up statistically) for nothing at all in return. I see your point, though, just trying to see how much cap the Knicks can really free up, but they would be really bad for the season with the team they’re trading for.

I really don’t see the trade making sense for either team. I do think the contracts are going to be easier to trade for each other because the guys are making so much, but if I remember correctly McGrady won’t be back until at least in the middle of the season, so if that happens he won’t be helping Wade out too much til that time, assuming he’s even ready by then. The Rockets need a center, but Jermaine O’Neal really isn’t going to give them much in the meantime. Besides, that leaves Haslem, Magloire or Joel Anthony at center. The only way I think Morey would do it is if they threw in a first rounder. When healthy McGrady is way better than O’Neal., even for half a season.

McGrady is suppose to be out of action till February so I don’t see it making sense for Miami. Adding O’neal won’t make Houston a playoff contender nor would he be part of their future plan so unless they can spin him off for some younger players that may be part of their future then it doesn’t make sense for them either.

I still feel a trade of E. Curry and Larry Hughes for McGrady is a better trade for both teams and the salary matches. Good for the Knicks because they save cap room (They won’t care if McGrady comes back in February or at all). Makes sense for Houston because they need a center taller than 6’9. Plus he can score down low and can be insurance just incase Yao doesn’t heal for 2011(plus I believe Yao is a free agent in 2011.They may not even want to resign him if he doesn’t come back 100%). Hughes would be able to start from the beginning of the season and should fit well with Brooks and Ariza (specially on the defensive end)

There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY that they will trade Mac for a the Jermaine Oneals, or Larry Hughes of the world. They’ll only trade him for a plus player, not scrubs that make to much money. They’d be better off to suck this season let that contract expire and make a run next season.

Hughes Contract expires after this year too. He’s just fill in to make salaries match. Right now Houston doesn’t have a center or anyone taller than 6’9″. If Curry proves to be in shape, he can be a good back up plan till Yao is ready to play. Mcgrady coming back in February and at 23mil is not going to bring back any plus players.

I never heard any reports about McGrady coming back in February, that’s news to my ears..All reports is saying , is that he’s been training hard and he’s like in the best shape he has ever been in, in a while, that’s about it

I heard on ESPN and other places online McGrady may miss the 1st 25-30 games of the season. He’s not starting off the season.

I heard it from a few places like ESPN, CNNSI and Hoopshype. But I did most recently here that he tweeted saying he’s been training hard and looking in great shape so now I’m not sure. If he’s ready from the begging of the season then I think Miami would do it but they’ll need to get a big man (one that can rebound). I think Miami would still have to throw in a draft pick to make it worth while though.
