i was in the shower thinking of trades. first of all, there are alot of good players that could be traded. the only problem is that i dont see these guys fitting with alot of teams or the other team doesnt have the proper assets.

now for the trade. it makes sense to me as the guys have similar ages and contracts. indiana trades danny granger to utah for al jefferson. now, the salaries may not match straight up so you guys can add your own fillers.

for indiana, you open up playing time for paul george and you get a legit power forward. also, with your pick at 15 you could get someone like marshon brooks for the 2 spot. possible lineup of collison, brooks, george, jefferson and hibbert. very young team that would need some time together before they gel. you could certainly do alot worse than that lineup.

for utah, you get a wing scorer that you have needed. you also clear some time at the 4 spot for favors and millsap. now this is a riskier move for utah because you have the 3rd pick. the hope is that you would then draft kanter as your future center.

    thoughts?

Granger has much more value than Jefferson. I think you have to include one of their picks as well. If you include the  3rd pick then you could grab the Pacers attention

How does Granger have more Value than Al? He’s 28… had a bad knee and his FG% is at 42%.  Jefferson is 26. doesn’t have a bad knee and FG% is close to 49%.

Jefferson would make that team one of the biggest in the league with some great low post scoring as well as defending. Granger would be great for the Jazz as an actual scoring wing that they have really needed. If that trade were to go down then I would draft someone like Leonard for defensive reasons and then I would look at Jimmer for off the bench with Milsap. I have not been a big fan of having Jimmer drafted in the lottery but that trade makes it seem a little more logical.

Granger does have more value than jefferson. not saying its warranted, but the pacers definitely feel like hes a "star" so they wont be willing to give him up just for jefferson most likely. but sounds like a good fit for both teams. t-psycho could be the backup pf. but indiana would have virtually nothing as far as wing scorers. george is way too raw still and brandon rush just hasnt panned out. if they can rehash that trade they tried before the deadline to get mayo. they could be a playoff team next year.
