    I am from ny and there were rumors early in the summer that the blazers were interested in David Lee, do they think they cant sign aldrige. Aldrige i think is underated and in 3-5 years i think he will be a top 5 pf in the league. Also why did they want turkoglu? In my opinion they have the best 2-3 combo in the league with Roy and Rudy. thank you

    Well i’m not sure Rudy Fernandez plays the 3….However i’m sure that they are not the best 2-3 combo in the leage lol..They have Outlaw, Batum and Webster at the 3 wich is not bad, but Hedo would have been an upgrade.

    A couple things.

    1-No way is Roy and Rudy the best 2-3 combo in the league.

    2-I agree that trying to throw big money at hedo was strange since Outlaw, Webster, Batum, and Rudy all play the 3 and need more minutes.

    3-I’m sure Portland will get Aldridge signed long term, but I don’t think he will be a top 5 pf. He settles too much for jumpers and doesn’t play with much force around the basket at either end.

      Other 2-3 combos in the league;

      Boston; Ray Allen, Paul Pierce
      Orlando: Vince Carter, Rashard Lewis
      LA; Kobe Bryant, Ron Artest
      San Antonio; Manu Ginobli, Richard Jefferson
      Houston; Tracy McGrady, Shane Battier
      Memphis; OJ Mayo, Rudy Gay
      Golden State; Monta Ellis, Stephen Jackson
      Philadelphia; Andre Iguodala, Thad Young

      As much as I like Roy, saying him and Fern are the best 2-3 combo in the league is kinda stretching it…

    Yeah that did look good months ago… Its a good thing toronto lured turkoglu away. If i were the blazers, i would have gotten Lamar Odom. If they did that, they would be a contender for the west finals.. imagine the lakers without odom and the blazers having him… Blake, Roy, Batum, Aldridge, Oden.. And Odom being the 6th man. If they get Odom, they could even win the NBA Championship in 2-3 years if they find a way to upgrade a point guard. Odom > Turkoglu. More Athletic and stronger
