    6’1" Chrishawn Hopkins of Butler

Now before people that dont know him look up his stats and see what he is putting up(2ppg in 7 minutes a game)

This is based on potential…and the fact that after Shelvin Mack he is the best guard on Butler(Well besides Nored and his importance on D/leadership). He is super athletic has a nice shot and handles and while he isnt a pure pg he can set up his teammates. His main problem is on defense. Although he has all the physical tools he still seems to get beat off the dribble more than a guard with his athletic ability should. He also needs to be more consistent with his shot off the dribble.

I may just be big on him but i see him as a 1st round prospect come his junior year.

And hey if im wrong…i bet he wins the first NBADL Dunk Contest he is in.

"Night 3 of the league had Chrishawn Hopkins and Shelvin Mack in action.  Hopkins played for Team Gray in game 1 and Mack played for Team Purple in game 2.  No other Butler guys participated.

Hopkins had 14 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 turnover in Team Gray’s 70-67 OT loss to Team Green.  He played pretty well but did not shoot the ball like he did Thursday night (that would be tough to do).  He completed one alley-oop on a ball that was thrown a bit low.  That seems to be a common problem.  His teammates often underestimate his vertical leap, causing him to have to reach down for the ball.  Michael Scott led Team Gray with 16 points, and Team Green’s David Logan led all scorers with 18."

"Hpkins has been very active. He’s always looking for an opportunity for an open shot, or to make a good pass, or to make a steal, or to block a shot. One play that really impressed me from last week was when he drew an offensive foul on Lance Stephenson by bodying up to him when he had picked up his dribble. Stephenson pivoted into him and was called for the foul because Chrishawn had established position. It was a very smart defensive play.He looks much more confident than last year, without being selfish. Of all the guys I saw play in this league last summer, Hopkins is easily the most improved. "

"On night 4 of the league Hopkins had 9 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 turnover in 30 minutes for Team Gray in their 72-69 win over Team Purple.  He had one big alley oop which he threw down to a big cheer from the crowd.  He had another in which the pass looked to be on the money, but he missed the dunk.  Gray was led by Michael Scott with 26 points, and JaJuan Johnson and Marcus Thomas both scored 19 points for Team Purple.  This game looked like it might be a blowout as Team Gray jumped out to an 11-2 lead, but Team Purple regrouped and made it a close game.  They definitely could have used Shelvin Mack tonight, though.
