FUNKYBUNCHParticipantBefore the draft, I thought Robert Williams was a bust. Now with the right coaching he has a shot at doing something.
Before the draft I ranked Donte DiVicenzo ahead of Lonnie Walker and Zhaire Smith. Based on where they landed in the draft I now rank it Lonnie Walker, Donte DiVicenzo and then Zhaire Smith.
Shake Milton was a steal for the Mavericks that late in the draft. He might be the most slept on player drafted that nobody is talking about.
Kelan Martin is a player getting no buzz. He’s playing for the Jazz in the summer league and might be good enough to carve out an NBA role. Brandon McCoy, Allonzo Trier, Trevon Bluiett, Bonzie Colson along with Kelan Martin would round up my top 5 UFA players.
There’s a slim chance that next year Jontay Porter gets picked as high as Michael Porter, Jr. did…

cominup7Participant– Rob Williams still seems kinda bust-y to me but if he doesn’t at least become a rotation big its on him
– Jontay Porter is definitely a lotto pick next year on talent alone, plus some of the hyped freshmen won’t declare/pan out after one yr
– Agree with Walker-Smith-Donte

jonus grumbyParticipantthere were not salary dump trades. There had been speculation before the draft that some teams would trade their pick + bad contract to simply get out of the contract. Either there was not a desire to salary dump or teams were unwilling to take on a contract even if they got a draft pick.
