Lotto StudParticipantKobe vs Kobe who are you taking #8 or #24?

ItsRainingNegsParticipantI was too young to see #8, but I’d take the year he first got his mid range jumper to that elite-elite level to preserve whatever athleticism. And I’d guess that’s #24.

DaGuywhodidurmaParticipantKobe changed his number in 06, how old are you?

ItsRainingNegsParticipantHa old enough to drink but I didn’t really start watching NBA ball until college. My grandpa talked sh*t about the NBA all the time growing up so I always figured it was lame.

XYRYXParticipantI think this is a legit question.
I’ve seen Kobe play the game since he entered the league with all the ups and downs.
For sure KB8 was the more spectacular player and an incredible athlete. He was just entering his prime and could basically do everything on the court and was still stubborn enough to do whatever he wants to do. The #24 is the more complete player and way more mature than the KB8 Version.
It really depends on what you want to do when you ask this.
Btw, I was never a fan of his number change, he should never have done this unless he switched teams.
This means the Lakers one day need retire both of his jersey numbers.

ItsRainingNegsParticipantAHHH that’s why he did it! You could say it was over the whole rape thing. Like that’s possible. Haha but as egotistical as Shaq and Wilt were, Kobe’s gonna have two jersey’s retired? (MJ whispers to Kobe: try having your jersey retired in two different ARENAS.) lol MJ > Kobe forever

SupParticipantKobe #8 had more championships, scored 81, had the Kobe ‘fro, and a better crossover.
