    76ers:

Jrue Holiday- Dictated the pace very well and continues to run the team very well. Great pick and roll play again. Would’ve had more assists with the regular Philly players. Continues to play tenacious D. Changes speeds well and has the frame to keep his man on his hip. Needs to shoot it better, but he’s going to be just fine. I feel good about him as the PG of the future.

Evan Turner- Still has some rough spots and has trouble turning the corner in pick and roll, but his ball-handling is impressive and he can get to the rim in pure one-on-one situations. Knows when to score and pass. Extended his range a little, but is clearly better from mid-range. Needs to learn how to play off the ball more effectively. Good on-ball defender, but gave up points to cutters.

Marreese Speights- Despite his double double, he looks shaky. Continues to fall in love with his jumper, even when he has favorable matchups. Continues to demonstrate a low basketball IQ. Has no idea how physically gifted he is I don’t think. Has rebounded well and will make some athletic plays at the rim. Needs to start figuring out his matchups, to get his best advantages against them. He’s still not ready to be a very good starter just yet.

Jodie Meeks- I can’t wait until Willie Green comes off the books. Meeks can be a great offensive specialist. Showing once again that he can score off the dribble, in transition, and off of 1 or 2 dribbles. Still needs to work on his handle. He’s more athletic than he’s credited for though. Also a tough defender.

Trent Plaisted- Did a good job finishing at the rim for a 2nd straight game. Not good on D though.

    Boston:

Luke Harangody- Continues to show that he can be a rotation player next year. Can score in the pick and roll and pick and pop, but is better as a face-up shooter. Can struggle at the rim when contested, as he lacks size and athleticism. Ran into a little trouble with Marreesse Speights, who clearly had a size and athletic advantage on Gody. Should play some next season, but not too much. 2011 figures to be when he really contributes more.

Oliver Lafayette- Shaky today after a strong performance yesterday. Mediocre control of the game. Jrue Holiday smothered him and took advantage of his shaky playmaking.

Tony Gaffney- Played great D on Turner, and made him earn everything.

Jaycee Carroll- Has some nice shooting ability. And that’s about the end of it.

Are you going to have a breakdown of the OKC/CHA game? I walked in from class in time to see Jeremy Pargo hit the game winning shot for the Bobcats.

I’m not surprised that Gody is balling… I’ve been saying it for the longest to those only concerned about athleticism and length that he IS going to be a player in the NBA.

He’s been proving people wrong since high school in Indiana. He does it at every level.

I didn’t like Harangody until his Senior year as an NBA player. He showed no face-up ability then. Ever since he showed the ability to face up, I liked him as a player more.
