Thad Young, Spencer Hawes and James Anderson for Jeremy Lamb, Perry Jones and Kendrick Perkins…76ers could throw in a 2nd round pick to sweeten the deal…

What are some pros and cons in this deal…

I happen think it helps both Teams achieve their goals, Philly wants a few more young players to rebuild with, the Thunder are looking for proven players to help them Win a Championship this year or next with a 100% Westbrook

    Thunder roster

    Russell Westbrook/Reggie Jackson

    Thabo Sefolosha/James Anderson

    Kevin Durant/Thad Young

    Serge Ibaka/Nick Collison

    Steven Adams/Spencer Hawes

they could still trade Dallas’s 1st rounder for a 3pt shooter or draft one in June…

A healthy Russ, KD with Thad/Ibaka/Adams/Hawes down low sounds dangerous, trade Reggie or Thabo and Dallas’ pick for Aaron Affalo and this team could win it all if they can gel by April

I feel like the sixers would want a first round pick thrown in. They’re trying to trade Turner and Hawes more actively than Young, and they’ve already said they’re looking for picks in this draft. Jones and Lamb are nice but you might be able to find better or equivalent players in the teens to mid twenties in this draft.

Their own pick in the top 5 and the Pelican’s pick somewhere in the lottery, they could be greedy and ask for the Dallas pick owned by OKC but they don’t need another prospect in the late lottery-mid first round, not with Jeremy Lamb and Perry Jones still being very young and in need of minutes, OKC will also need a shooter or draft and stash player that the Dallas pick would provide, I hate when people try to get greedy in trade scenarios…

    J. Lamb gives the 76ers room to draft a Bigman to compliment Noel, that could be Joel Embiid in the top 3 or Julius Randle or Noah Vonleh in the top 5-7, everyone assumes we’ll draft Wiggins or Parker but if they happen to be gone we’d need a plan B…

I think the Sixers have room to be greedy. Most likely there will be at least one team willin to throw us a pick and other assets once we get closer to the trade deadline. The sixers just need to stay patient. Also, there isn’t as much incentive for us to trade Young since he’s such a great fit, so teams would need to throw in a little extra for him. Numerous people have said that the Sixers would be just fine with holding on to Young.

Although this appears to be a fairly even trade Hinkie has been pretty clear he wants picks instead of young talent in exchange for Young, Hawes, Turner. I’ve read that for Thad he wants a 2014 pick at least close to the lottery and a young/ESTABLISHED player. With or without Lamb the Sixers need a big man from their top 2 picks. Perkins and his high $ won’t work for Hinkie.

I hate seeing Lamb leave because he is a very important piece to the Thunders future, but getting Young and Hawes while dumping Perkins salary seems like a good deal to win now. 76ers get a great young 2guard and could use the their 2 lottery picks on another wing and another big man and they are good to go. Really on the fence about getting rid of Lamb or not, but great trade proposal nonetheless.

I don’t think they want to move lamb or adams now not for hawes. Okc has dallas and their own picks to play with perkins, collision, and jones.can they get one sure but im not sure they can get both now.

I posted a topic about this a while back and I included adams but his value has risen since then.

Likely too expensive for OKC but how about Adams & Lamb for Thad, Hawes, Anderson.

Sixers would have to take some money (bad contract) back as well.

It’s a good trade but I often read the Sixers are looking for draft picks so I assume that a trade like :                 Hawes +  a second round pick or Young for Perkins and the Dallas 2014 first round pick is a more probable one.

The Sixers get what they want which is a draft pick.

I think that Thunder will stick with J.Lamb. He’s still has 2 years left on his rookie contract so he’s cheap and as we know that’s important for them. The next thing is that they are playing the small ball lineups more often ( especially against Miami ) and Jones and Lamb are playing quite well in them so I’m quite confident that they wont trade both of them. Besides that I think that they should go very hard for T.Young. He can be a difference maker for them.

When Hinkie came to town he said “this is going to be a long, painful process”. By long I assume he meant 2-3 years. Am I crazy to think that if they kept Thad, Turner, Hawes, they could be pretty competitive in a fairly short period of time when you add MCW, Noel, and the 2 (possibly) round 1 picks this June ? That’s 7 pretty good players. They also have an early round 2 pick this year. Keep in mind, if they kept Hawes & Turner for a total of 16-20 million per year they would still have 10+ million for FA’s.

Based on the Sixers needs (and the general caliber of players you’re offering), Presti would get hung up upon very quickly for this proposal. Lamb is an OK young rotation player. Perry Jones has shown nothing, and you’re not fooling anyone by sneaking Kendrick Perkins in a.k.a the 2nd least desirable contract in the NBA (next to Amare).

I doubt we would trade any of Turner, Hawes or especially Thad for Lamb straight up, probably wouldn’t give up much of anything for Jones, and would laugh at you for mentioning Perkins in any scenario without including a 1st.

Turner or Hawes & a 2nd for Perkins and Dallas’ pick might have some traction, but I doubt you’d be able to get Thad since the Dallas pick is top 20 protected and there’s a good chance Dallas gets to keep the pick.

How about turner for H. barnes. the warriors needs a play maker and scoring off the bench turner does both and is still young. I seen this trade on br earlier and fell in love. Yes iggy and turner were both on the sixers but they did make the playoffs with less talent. The warriors have 2 shooters a post scorer and a defensive big Look at what turner is doing with the sixers he adds a big boost to the warriors off the bench more then a barnes would. Barnes has more poetenital but with a injury prone team like this why not get the vet who stays healthy and has an all around game.

I doubt this happens but would be a smart trade throw in hawes also as a  bonus and I see gs biting on it they need depth.

everyone says keep thad young  but if we get a pf in the draft what happens then I like thad but hes a tweener we can get a few first rounders for him.
