cp5ParticipantI’m watching the Lakers vs Spurs game on ESPN and right before halftime. Bill Simmons asked Jalen Rose "Do you think the Sixers could win the NCAA tournament?" Jalen said yes but Bill said they would get bounced in the Elite 8.I think they would win the whole thing. What are your thoughts?

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantSince they don’t And they have a group of D. Leaguers on their roster right now, I’m going to say no! They simply can’t shot from outside and lack talent aside from MCW, Thad and Wroten. Elliot Williams is strictly a dunker but I like him too, James Anderson does a lot of the little things to but he’s older than I like my G’s in a rebuild, Moultrie has flat out disappointed so far and the rest of these dudes shouldn’t be around next season. Shooting hAs been our biggest weakness

abrowniiParticipantThe Sixers would win. What college team you know could match up with a 6’6 pg, 6’6 sg, 6’8 sf, 6’9 sf, and 7′ center. Also consider the fact that these players are now basically into one year of competing with the top-notch basketball talent. Oh and MCW… star at Syracuse, Thad Young… star at Georgia Tech, Henry Sims, Hollis Thompson… key players at Georgetown, Tony Wroten… goto player at Washington… Byron Mullin… Key player for OSU… James Anderson Oklahoma State star. Lets not forget here that NBA players were important and Star plays in College

PhillytheKidJalen is okay…..but Simmons had a nice niche with the very well-written blog and website.
Now they’re overexposed and the titles for their articles/youtube videos are just arrogant.
"Jalen and Bill fix the _____"
Simmons is an idiot for asking if the Sixers could win the NCAA. The Sixers are actually playing hard right now, almost beat the Bulls. What’s next…come within 5 of the Bulls? I’m sure he was asking if anyone could beat Kentucky coming inot the year.
NBA players can’t really stop Thad Young and Tony Wroten going to the basket and you expect college players to shut them down?
Its all about that NBA length and physicality, and athleticism. You can see the big dropoff with some of the D-league guys playing for the Sixers now like Eliot Williams. College is full of bodies yet to mature.

frogmanParticipantYou seriously don’t think they’d win it scare crow? Yes we know Moultrie has been rubbish as a pro but he was All-SEC when he was still in college and has only got better since then (even though it doesn’t feel like it). I’ll put it this way, all the 76er’s scrubs that sit on the end of the bench of the worst team in the NBA were the best or second best player on their college team.

TyroberParticipantEvery player on the Sixers would be a beast in college right now. They would be the favorites to win it all and I would expect them to do so.

billhayes7ParticipantCouldn’t agree with you more about Simmons PhillytheKid. Simmons had a good thing going and now it has gone to his head. He also has recently put the Sixers on blast for tanking, but was fully in favor of it when the Celtics had a chance at Durant/Oden a few years back. Declares himself an expert but is still biased towards teams. I think that is why he asked that question in the first place. Another backhanded jab at the Sixers just because they have a better draft spot than his beloved C’s

TRC1991ParticipantBrandon Davies off the pine, Arnett Moultrie to… It’s like a college all-star team. They’d wipe the floor with the competition.
It’d be like playing a bunch of NBA-ready 5th year seniors + Michael Carter-Williams
Thaddeus Young could get 40 each game

jmarg25ParticipantThey would win the whole thing. There isn’t a real dominant team in the NCAA either, so nobody would beat them. No one would even come close.
