Charlie SheenParticipantLakers, Grizzles, Knicks
Lakers get- Amar’e Stoudemire and OJ Mayo(S&T)- get more athletic upfront and a combo guard to groom behind the Mamba
Grizzles get- Pau Gasol and Toney Douglas- add a skilled 4 to open the paint for his baby bro and run the high low to full effect
Knicks get- Zach Randolph and Metta World Peace- get some attitude which help them vs Miami, Randolph lost some weight I heard, can hit the J has great post moves and MWP will add another perimeter defender and be the Battier type for New York
Lakers
Session/Bryant/Barnes/Stoudemire/Bynum/Mayo/Hill/Blake/Ebanks
Grizzles
Conley/Allen/Gay/Gasol/Gasol/Speights/Selby/Pondexter/Rookie
Knicks
Lin/Shumpert/Anthony/Randolph/Chandler/MWP/Smith/Jeffries/FA PG(Delonte West??)

TRC1991ParticipantMemphis doesn’t need to move Randolph, you must have forgotten how well he played in last year’s playoffs… if they move anyone it will be either mayo, gay, or conley

ChewyParticipantopted out of his contract and is a FA.
Grizzlies as a small market team know how important it is to keep talent in house when they develop a good team. I don’t see anyway that they give up Randolph. They also really like Conely so I don’t see them moving him since they signed him to a reasonable long term contract.
Lakers have one of the highest total salaries in the entire league. Do they really want to be locked in Amare’s contract after the next year or two when Kobe starts seriously considering retrirement?

Stinky34ParticipantI could be wrong but I thought with the new cba there was provisions against sign and trades to try and keep stars from moving to other teams…

Brew Meister SmithParticipantI would be really surprised if any team would go near Amare with a 30 foot pole. He is a talent on offence / but is now way overpaid, has potential major back issues, and is suspect on defence. His contract is toxic at this point.
Then again, Hedo, R. Lewis, and Gilbert Arenas have all been traded over the last couple of seasons with bad contracts, so who knows.
Randolph goes nowhere. Gasol may be on the move, but his contract is still of high value. Metta W P is another talent who will be a hard sell for many teams.
Just too many risky pieces for a trade like this to happen.
