    Jazz receive:

    Ramon Sessions

    Anderson Varejao

    #2 pick

    Cavs Receive:

    Al Jefferson

    TWolves receive:

    Raja Bell

    #3 pick

Of course, you can add some draft pick(s) (maybe #12 going to the Cavs? or 2012 or 2013 draft picks? Tell me what you think…) and the deal can be sealed.

    Why the Jazz do this:

I’ve thought about that deal considering the rumours that the Jazz would possibly ship Al Jefferson away. You can also put Millsap instead  of Big Al. I would understand this idea so as to give minutes to Favors or to clear a space to select Kanter in the draft. I would rather see the Jazz letting Favors take more minutes and so with this idea in mind receiving Varejao would be logic: he would take less minutes than Jefferson. Also the Jazz, in receiving Sessions, fulfil their need for a PG so they can concentrate themselves on selecting a SF during the draft. Then they seal the trade  #3 +Raja Bell vs. #2 in order to be sure to take Derrick Williams, even though they have to give up Bell. Then, with their #12 pick (if not traded), the Jazz select a SG. Candidates: Jordan Hamilton, Alec Burks, Klay Thompson  and even Marshon Brooks if none of the above are there.

I think this deal makes sense for the Jazz.

    Jazz possible lineup:

    -PG: Devin Harris/Ramon Sessions

-SG: CJ Miles (they must activate their team option)/ Devin Harris (can play some SG) +#12 pick (if not traded)

    -SF: Hayward

    -SF/PF: Derrick Williams/Jeremy Evans

    -PF: Millsap

    -PF/C: Favors/Varejao

    -C: Okur

    Why the Cavs do this:

In order to draft Irving, the Cavs should make space for him. With B-Davis’ contract nearly unshippable, the Cavs would have to trade Sessions, a valuable PG. Also, the Cavs need a  quality center who can score to rebuild, and Al Jefferson seems to be a very good candidate. The Cavs can therefore select Irving with their first pick and then concentrate themselves on a SF at #4, which would be either Vesely or Leonard as it is also one of their holes. In doing this trade, Cleveland gets a very solid lineup and could quickly become a playoff contender:

    -PG: Kyrie Irving/Baron Davis

    -PG/SG: Daniel Gibson

    -SG: Christian Eyenga/Manny Harris

    -SG/SF: Alonzo Gee/Joey Graham

    -SF:Jan Vesely or Kawhi Leonard

    -SF/PF: Antawn Jamison

    -PF: JJ Hickson/Luke Harangody/Samardo Samuels

    -C: Al Jefferson/Semih Erden

+#32 pick (candidates: Singler,Parsons, Mirotic, Travis Leslie, Jimmy Butler) and #54 (candidates: Liggins, Hopson, Lighty, Cam Long, Bojan Bogdanovic, Georgi Shermadini aka the tallest player in this draft …. though they will probably not be conserved)

Btw: can’t some players like Manny Harris, Alonzo Gee, Luke Harangody or Samardo Samuels becoming FAs at the end of this year? I also think that with this solid  base the Cavs could add a nice starting SG and another backup SF from Free Agency with their cap space.

    Why the TWolves do this:

Well, Minnesota would likely end up selecting Williams with their 2° pick and end up shipping him instead of B-Easy for two reasons: 1) He hasn’t Beasley’s personal problems 2) Beasley has shown that he could produce. So, the TWolves might, with Rubio’s confirmed arrival, be more likely to select a Center in Kanter as there are no good SGs worthy of going at 2 or 3. So, the TWolves would accept to trade their pick down to the Jazz by one spot in order to get Kanter at 3 because the Jazz bring in what the TWolves are looking for: a veteran SG in Raja Bell. I don’t think they can ask for more since they’re only moving down one spot. Otherwise, yeah they can always ask for a solid veteran, more solid than Bell, but then they would pass up on Kanter…

    Minny’s lineup:

    -PG: Ridnour/Rubio/Flynn

    -SG:Raja Bell/Wayne Ellington

    -SF/SG:Wes Johnson

    -SF:Martell Webster/Lazar Hayward

    -SF/PF: Beasley

    -PF: Anthony Randolph

    -PF/C: Love/ Kanter/ Tolliver

    -C: Milicic/Pekovic

What do you guys think? Personally I don’t think it’s the likeliest trade to happen but I feel like it would be coherent and all of the teams would benefit from it.

    Feedback is appreciated…

    Great for the Cavs

T-Wolves idk if they really want Raja

Jazz – if there going to pick D-Will with that pick i see them picking (even though its a big risk) Biyombo and let Gordan Hayward play Sg and then you have a long athletic big men

    Pg-Devin Harris                            bench -Ramon Sessions

    Sg-Gordan Hayward                     bench-C.J Miles

    Sf-Derrick Williams                        bench-Jeremy Evans

    Pf-Derrick Favors                           bench-Paul Millsap

    C-Bismack Biyombo                       bench-Anderson Verajao

Give this team a couple of years or so and there a top 5 team in the West

I actually like it for the Jazz. I probably would plug Milsap into the deal instead of Big Al but either way I’d do it.

Though I doubt that it will happen, could you please explain what you find that makes it awful to you? I would be interested to know…

Because the Wolves move down for Raja Bell. If you’re moving down you get value or, at least, dump a bad contract or something. Why would they do it for a 35 year old who’s pretty much finished?

It’s true that they could try to dump a bad contract but I feel that Raja Bell, though he is 35, is a solid veteran who can shoot the ball and plays very good defense at SG, which is exactly what Minny needs. I get your point but I feel that moving only one spot would make it difficult to ask for more or to dump a bad contract like Milicic… But yeah I kinda understand your point.

To tell the truth, I only added the trade with Minny later on, but the original trade I thought about was Cavs vs. Jazz.

The fact that the #4 pick is not in play is a concern to me. I also agree that the T-Wolves took on abother 3 mil and lost the #2 pick for the #3. I am sure that they will get much better offers than that.

You could take Minny out of the deal altogether if the #4 was in play.

the wolves would be better just taking offers for the 2nd pick…  i could see this deal making alit more sense if minn was to walk away with both 3/4 pick and a contract taken off their hands

As it actually was the original idea, what do you think about the Cavs-Jazz trade? This is what matters  to me the most, the other one is just a complement…
