It has been tentatively agreed upon to have a second game between the UK legends team and the Dominican Republic on Aug 16th (the day after the one in Rupp), but this time at the YUM! Center (home of the University of Louisville). This game may feature a few different players from this past years team including Deandre Liggins, Brandon Knight, and fan favorite Josh Harrellson. Also, former Louisville coach Denny Crum is contemplating coaching the UK Legends Team.

I already have tickets to the game at Rupp, but this will be another awesome game. Also, former Cards players Fransico “da kid” Garcia and Edgar Sosa are on the Dominican Republic Team (coached by Calipari) so gives reason for UL fans to come and enjoy game.

I have read on many blogs that this is a smack in the face to Louisville by having a UK Legends team play in their new Arena. What do you all think? (I think they should enjoy seeing some of their former players play again and make money off their arena). Plus there are just as many UK fans that live in Louisville so offers them another chance to see game in Louisville if they didnt get tickets to game in Lexington. Also a lot of people will be pissed off at Crum if he coaches the Cats Legends team, which I can understand (but think is great).

Overall, I love what Calipari does to bring excitement to UK Basketball year round. He is the man. Go Cats!
