Hoop Summit is back on this year! Some interesting names on this years World team. Jean Montero gets a chance to boost his draft stock. Leonard Miller gets to show off his unique game after a growth spurt, I know NorrinRadd’s gonna love that!. MacKenzie Mgbako is the guy scouts are saying has stood out in practices so look out for him. Traore (Auburn) and Iwuchukwu (USC) two of this classes best big men.

    1 Jean Montero G 6-3 18 Dominican Republic
    2 London Johnson G 6-4 17 Jamaica
    3 Tyrese Proctor G 6-4 17 Australia
    4 Sidy Cissoko G 6-5 18 France
    5 Mike Sharavjamts F 6-7 19 Mongolia
    6 MacKenzie Mgbako F 6-7 17 Nigeria
    7 Matas Buzelis G/F 6-10 17 Lithuania
    8 Omaha Biliew F 6-8 17 South Sudan
    9 Leonard Miller F 6-9 18 Canada
    11 Vincent Iwuchukwu C 7-0 18 Nigeria
    12 Felix Okpara C 6-11 17 Nigeria
    13 Yohan Traore C 6-10 19 France

Also just to add. Class of 2023 F MacKenzie Mgbako should be announcing where he is going to play college ball sometime today. He’s a late riser but has lottery pick potential and is a name we will be hearing alot. He’s expected to pick Duke.

Wow Leonard Miller is currently mocked #35 of this draft. Aran Smith knows something we don’t? Wouldn’t be the first time.

Miller is a very tall lean prospect and would be one of the youngest guys in the draft. I’m sure teams with multiple picks will have a very good look at him late first and early second round. He is the perfect sort of guy who could do a lights out workout and shoot up the mock boards. As I always say it only needs one team to like you.

Watching the game now (half time) so far USA is leading World Team… Montero is looking great with his passing ability. Leonard Miller has made some mistakes, but also some good plays. Could still be a close finish.

Lots of physicality in this game. Love that about Hoop Summit, its a real game. If you come here thinking its an Allstar game you’ll get embarrassed like when Biyombo destroyed Davis.

Its crazy how good these players are at this stage. All the players on team USA already look like professionals.

Whitmore and Whitehead looked especially good tonight.

Montero looked good. Tight handle, very quick, good playmaking, knocked down some shots. He also had some gritty Pat Beverley moments getting some steals. Hes small though. Small enough to where its gonna be exploited immediately in the NBA unless he proves he can defend it and he seems like a catered player a bit. He had alot of miscommunication moments trying to avoid guarding big players and seems like he plays expecting everyone else to be on the same page with it. The USA guards all looked half a foot taller than him.

There were a bunch of players on Team World that had very unique skillsets. Leonard’s a problem.
