So theres two SL’s kicking off today the one based in Utah and the one based in Sacramento. Best game is Kings vs. Warriors at 11pm Eastern on ESPN 2. No doubt Mitchell is gonna light up the Warriors SL team for passing on him for Kuminga.

First game was a blow out and my cable was choppy so I didn’t really watch too much of it. Did see Tillman make some skilled moves like a nice spin to a layup and Bane look like he shouldn’t even be there. Pretty sure Ziare didn’t even play.

As for the second game its been real tight, guys look nervous. Wieskamp forced a few shots and then settled down. Not sure he scored more than 2 points. He looks huge though. Primo and Vassell didn’t play.

Trent Forrest showing out here. Just knocked down a corner three, thats big for him. Always liked his game, wanted Toronto to end up with him. He’s got 17.

Skal Labissiere siting here. He looks pretty good actually.

Matt Mitchell from SDSU has some CJ Mccollum in his game. Nice.

Udoka Azubuike is so big lol. He’s out there frustrated though, arguing with his refs and teammates… Jazz just signed Whiteside.

Omer Yurtseven with 27 points and 19 rebounds. I didn’t watch this game. Whats his contract situation? Raps sign this guy!

Watched him play some with the Turkish national team. Thought he shoudlve got minutes over Sengun.

        Kuminga and Moody not playing…

Heat didn’t take his TO so he’s currently an UFA. There’s a chance Miami gives him a standard contract if he keeps showing up. Marcus Garrett was as good as advertised defensively but man his shooting needs work lol. He could be one of Miami’s two way guys.

Kuminga is struggling so far and the Heat are taking advantage of it but him and Moody scored all 9 for GSW so far.

Kuminga has played well since but still raw. Moody is a rotation player off the bat. Garrett is scared to shoot lol.

Yeah Kuminga’s talent level is off the charts but his fundamentals just don’t exist. He needs more reps, needs to watch film and pick the brain of NBA vets and coaches.

I like Max Strus game. He had some good games for Miami last year too. Should be a decent role player.

Garrett looks good though. Maybe like a Micheal Carter Williams?

This Miami team is clearly featuring Yurtseven. Wonder what the plan is with him. Toronto may want to decide they want him in the Lowry trade.

Garrett has some Pat Bev vibes around him. Strus I expected him to ball out due to his NBA experience. Yurtseven though who knows with him but man he’s showing out too. Kuminga and Moody’s flaws got exposed late in the game.

I wonder how many calls Miami is getting right now. Phones probably ringing off the hook with teams trying to weasel these guys, same with Utah and Trent Forrest.

Tonights game is Lakers vs. Kings. Mitchell looked very good last night. Shades of Lowry or Holiday. He struggled in crunchtime though, two times he drove to the basket and didn’t really have a floater, pull up or mid range and ended up forcing passes for the turnover.

Emmanuel Terry is a guy to keep an eye on for Sacramento. Energy guy like Harrell or Faried.

Lakers ended up with tons of talent. Ayayi, Mcclung and some more guys I’m forgetting.

Lakers also got Austin Reaves too. Strus’ leadership is what stood out this game but man Yurtseven and Garrett should find themselves on an NBA roster this season

Yeah Reaves is the guy I was thinking of.

Strus being vocal in crunchtime was huge. Heat gotta keep all those guys. They round out and compliment the roster very well. Garrett’s like a guard version of Adebayo the Beverley comparison is on, Yurtseven gives them a stretch C and a big C, Strus is just so versatile. Can fill any roll between Lowry, Butler and Adebayo.

I really wanna see Masai try to force them to be included in the Lowry trade. I heard from a very unreliable source on a forum (I don’t remember what the source was probably a Heat beat writer) that if we can’t find any suitors for Dragic the Heat are going to up the ante, either more picks or prospects.

Barnes, Green, Jalen Johnson and Sengun showed out. Cade and Mobley struggled.

Marcus Garrett may have secured a two-way contract with the Heat. KZ Okpala may have secured a one way ticket out of Miami.

I think Mobley will struggle in Cleveland. People are going to be wondering why they didn’t draft Barnes. Cavs have $60 mil invested in Love over the next 2 years with Loves contract and $100 mil over the next 5 years with Allen’s. They didn’t pay Allen to be a backup so they must think Evan’s a power forward and I just don’t see it. I think he’s a very raw and physically immature Center that needs time to develop. Similar to the Onyeka Okongwu pick last year but at least Atlanta is developing him slowly. Clevelands just a bad situation for him, the whole Love drama and Sexton’s inability to be a floor general.

Really happy wit the way Scottie Barnes looked in his first game. The NBA game is gonna open things up for him, I really think the better his teammates are, the better he is gonna look.

Suggs looked fantastic. Raptors discussion boards are in shambles right now. I don’t think Suggs would be able to have the impact he will have with Orlando if Toronto drafted him. He needs to be the man from day one.

Jalen Green is a born scorer. He’s really been prepared well for this stage. Outstanding player, too many posing for the camera moments for my liking but I can’t be a hater…

So Cade’s really 6’6? Interesting. Maybe the rumors that Detroit was interested in drafting Green were true. Didn’t look good in his debut but he was the clearcut #1 pick and probably didn’t play any basketball leading up to thew draft unlike the guys mentioned so far. Let him shake off the rust before judging him on one game.

Kuminga…I feel so bad for this kid. They really nicknamed him Kum Bucket on twitter. Wtf man. I thought Spicy Pee was bad.

Moody looks like he’s gonna do great as a Warrior.

I don’t like Mobley’s situation in Cleveland. They give Allen that big contract which means they must think Mobley is a forward and… he’s not. Dribble is way too high, lacks a first step, can’t fight through contact, jumpshots not where it needs to be. Mobley reminded me of Okongwu leading up to this draft as a guy that is very raw. Nothing against Mobley here, if he got picked by just about any other team I think he would be fine Cleveland should have picked Barnes but were to scared to stray from the consensus.

They don’t think he’s a big though. Its only SL but he did not look good playing on the perimeter. This could easily end up being a Bamba situation where he loses confidences fast.

Bouknight landed in a great situation in Charlotte. They have a good team environment and player development system that should round out his game. He has alot of “practice facility moves”. Very skilled, needs reps.

Jalen Johnson looks like a steal. To slip as far as he did, he better be downright insane and failed all his interviews because he’s a freak athlete and can really shoot.

Keon Johnson is very raw. Clippers let him take the final shot in a close game despite Scrubb playing outstanding all game and he bricked it. Scrubb was very upset.

Trey Murphy looked like a star in his one game. Athletic, physical, smooth and could create. Wasn’t expecting all that.

Quickley had a rough first game against Toronto’s length and then bounced back with a huge performance against Indiana.

Duarte is a scrapper. Smooth offensive player with a dog mentality. Should be a very good pro.

Sengun is too good for this level of competition. He’s gonna be like Sabonis, where his positives outweigh his negatives.

Oh and most importantly I forgot to mention. Liangelo Ball. I watched both Charlotte games, that boy’s probably gonna get a 2 way contract if not outright signing. The team and fans rally behind him, he creates tons of energy for the team just by being present. He doesn’t have much more than that corner three, maybe some transition game and attacking closeouts but the marketability is insane. He has played good defense and rebounded well.

Theres plenty more notable performances like that spray tanned Timma guy and Robinson Earl but thats good for now.

Scottie Barnes looked very promising from the bits I saw. Sengun for Houston also had a good debut but was overshadowed by the Jalen Green show. He is a good bet if you want an outsider for ROY but more likely All Rookie First Team.

Sengun looking like a very dynamic player. NBA style really suits him. Too bad Jalen Green is a ball hog, he will benefit from playing with Sengun but that might not work both ways. Greens gonna score alot this year.

Houston with Kevin Porter Jnr, Wood, Green and Sengun plus possibly Garuba suddenly have a nice young core going forward. How they fit Sengun and Wood together and the dynamic of John Wall and Green over ball handling will be issues. But one more high lottery pick and the team could be good for the next few years as they improve. They would still have numerous assets to fill out the roster or add an experienced complimentary starter via a trade.
