As I had a great time at last year’s game, I’d definitely want to go again this year. However, I haven’t heard much about this year’s game as they announced Team USA’s roster around this time last year. Plus this sounds like a year where there could be a very loaded World Team.
Here’s my projected roster for Team USA:
Diamond Stone
Ivan Rabb
Jaylen Brown
Malik Newman
Jalen Brunson
Stephen Zimmerman
Henry Ellenson
Luke Kennard
Allonzo Trier
Isaiah Briscoe
and if they want 11…. Chase Jeter
Players who I would expect on the World Team:
Ben Simmons
Thon Maker
Georgios Pappagiannis
Skal Labbiserrie
Jamal Murray
Justin Jackson
Cheick Diallo
Dragan Bender
Dejan Vasiljevic
Plus that one black guy from Japan who averaged 23 ppg in the U17 World Championships is also somebody who deserves an invite.

I think the World team will win this year. The only player I really like on team US is Jaylen Brown and Malik Newman.
I don’t think any of the bigs in this class have Top-5 lottery talent, although I’m taking Humphries and Diallo before Stone and Rabb.
Some guys I think are overated include:
Zimmerman: made to look very average by Simmons a couple days ago and is too soft to bang
Stone: Think he was more physically advanced than others in his class, but that trait wont carry over at college and NBA level
Maker: Ok HUGE upside…but his production is not currently there and would get dominated by other guys on this list. He’s not the outside shooter people think at this stage and he’s very thin. Kevin Durant type frame but definitely without the silky game.

Jalen Poyser has to be on the team. Another Canadian kid with huge upside. 6’4 combo gaurd that is a great athlete and has explosive scoring ability. Played with Findlay Prep and CIA Bounce and is committed to UNLV.
