What do you guys think about this draft? Obviously it’s too soon to tell but this draft has a great amount of talent. It’s crazy considering that many of the guys that are projected in the top 4 could have gone 1st in other drafts. Not only that but there are many guys outside of the top 4 that I could see becoming star players at some point in time. Definitely excited for the influx of new talent.

5 Stars being Draft Classes like 96″, The year of Olajuwan/Jordan and the Lebron drafts…

    1 Star being the Bargnani/Olawakandi/Bogut draft classes…

This draft is solid in many respects but I don’t really see an automatic Hall of Famer in this crop, only a few All Stars and maybe 1 or 2 potential Superstars…Still is a very solid draft for potential starters and long time role players

I think it’s going to be an exciting night with a lot of trades. The draft is going to have that feel to it where you hear a name called, but you can never be sure that the team drafting that player isn’t picking him for another team. It’s really hard to accurately predict/mock because you can’t assume a trade will happen and slot a player to a team that doesn’t yet own that pick.

I think it’s going to be a lot like the NCAA tournament first round when a ton of upsets happen all at once and all of a sudden everyone’s bracket is in shambles.

I think there are a lot of teams that really like two or three players (NY) but if none of them are available, they’d rather trade back than look like they’re reaching by taking someone they really like, but too high for the media to let them get away with it. In my opinion that’s stupid. If you can move back, fine, but if not, I think you take the guy you like, let the message board clowns like us bash you, and then eventually prove you did your homework by seeing that player flourish.

Example: Flip Saunders said recently that when he took Jan Vesley at  No. 6 overall in 2011, he really wanted Klay Thompson (who went No. 11), but No. 6 just seemed too high for Klay.
