For your viewing pleasure, this is nbadraft’s Mock of the 2015 Draft made last June.

    2. Jahlil Okafor

    3. Cliff Alexander

    4. Kelly Oubre

    4. Karl Towns

    6. Wayne Selden

    7. Caris LeVert

    8. Brice Johnson

    9. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson

    10. Stanley Johnson

So interesting how different it is; only 3 projected top 10 picks from June 2014 are still projected in the top 10!

Just goes to show how hard it is to predict a year in advance.  Winslow and Russell moved up the board.  With Russell not even being expected to be one and done.  Porzingis was on the radar last year but wasn’t pegged to go in the top 10.  Alexander would be lucky to get drafted in the 1st round at this point.

I expect the same will happen in the 2016 draft.  Players come out of nowhere and others struggle to live up to where they are projected to go.  Even with under 5 days until draft night we don’t know where players will land or how they will pan out.

I could see two of those picks being correct…Jahlil at 2 and Stanley at 10. Otherwise the rest don’t really have much chance in my opinion. Mudiay’s ceiling  I’m guessing is 3. Alexander is a 2nd rounder, Oubre I’m guessing goes between 11 and 18.

Selden, LeVert and Johnson all back next year. Which one goes the highest?

Tough to see any of them going top 10 if only because of the upperclassmen status but I like LeVert a lot. If Johnson can play with some consistency for once, he and UNC as a whole could have a special season. Want to see something out of Selden to like but man I just haven’t. He’s just another guy, has a game once in a while like any good not great college player but I don’t see NBA from him yet.

…I wouldn’t sleep on alexander in the second round. so much potential, one disappointing year that never got going. but recapture 10% of the potential we thought he had a year ago (the kid is only 19) and you’ve got a solid roleplayer. more than that, brilliant.

My top 5 for 2015 immediatly after the 2014 draft was:

    1. Towns

    2. Okafor

    3. Mudiay

    4. Johnson

    5. Winslow

Towns potential, size and skills always had him as the)best prospect imo.

Anybody who watched Okafor knew he was going to dominate college ball.

Mudiay is just a beast playing in China just hurt his stock he would of dominated college too.

Winslow and Johnson were the clear best wings in the country
