Gustavo FringParticipantAssuming Randle and WCS are gone. I think Marcus Lee stays. Dakari idk if he pulls a Daniel Orton and leaves early without much PT. They do have Lyles and Towns coming in next year. But I believe Dakari would see sufficient clock next season so he should stay. Poythress is a sad case, I think the kid should just go pro and get his paycheck. He’s a smart kid but he has mental lapses all the time and I don’t want to see him have to wait after a transfer. At least go to the league and hope to stick on as a specialist. What do you guys see for UK frontcourt next season. Staying? Leaving? Starters??

StewParticipantI’m a Kentucky fan myself too. Shoutouts BBM! But it’s way too early to tell. Early in the year I thought brandon knight shouldn’t have left but after the Final Four no question, same with bledsoe and countless number of players.
Persoanlly right now. I think Poythress, Johnson, Lee should all stay.

Gustavo FringParticipantIt’s hard with Poythress he’s losing so many minutes this year plus averaging 5 and 7 in 18 mins shooting 40 pct from the ft line. Lee I think will stay. Hard to call on Dakari due to them not being a slow paced team. Plus next season with the additions they have it’s hard to know if how Poythress and Dakari will fit in. Dakari might have to go why stock is high. I think Willis will see some mins at the 3 next year in the 12-18 min range. Towns Lyles Lee Maybe Dakari is a nice front court potential wise hopefully it fills out. Assuming the Twins leave (not a given) Young and Randle, the team will be missing a go to scorer on the wing or from the point guard position they are used too. I don’t think that Booker will be a go to scorer but rather a catch and shoot player. I think next year is going to really challenge Cal on his ability to adjust and build a team rather than rely on athletes at every position(though they will still have the best athletes lol) Hoping this year’s squad can make a run..

StewParticipantYea I hope this year’s team can make a deep run too, there’s a ways away from being a team who could play in the final four. It wil be depended on Andrew Harrison if he can step up and lead this team the way coach cal wants him to we will be cutting down the nets in march.
I really don’t know about next year’s squad tho. I really wanted Muiday but he shocked us all and went to go play at SMU. Next years team might be like the 2011 team! Brandon knights year

ItsRainingNegsParticipantLee could leave and I’d say he’s 50/50. Johnson and Poythress I could definitely see staying and think they will. Poythress should stay. He’ll have that athleticism barring injury so why sell low? Develop and go when you’re ready. Imagine Towns, DJ, Lee, and Lyles all in that rotation. It’s really ridiculous how loaded in the front court we’ve been the last two years.
