Seamo15ParticipantQuincy Acy has some big hands! Also strange to see how small Davis’ were.

ky30ParticipantWhat a hell
Quincy Miller, Standing reach 9.1
Anthony davis 9.0
Andre Drummond 9.1.75
Quincy looks so much smaller but standing reach is outstanding.

JoeWolf1Props to Drew Gordon for wearing regular shoes, lol
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 4:35am #678526
benny15Participantdo all these guys where the same type of shoe? how did drummond get 2 inches more with his shoes on where everyone else more or less got an inch and a half?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 4:46am #678537
joecheck88ParticipantThings that stand out a bit to me. Jeremy Lambs arms are not as crazy long as we thought. Drummond came in a little shorter than I thought but that wingspan is ridiculous. John Henson is slightly shorter and has slightly shorter arms than Drummond but has a higher standing reach. Terrance Ross has an insane body fat %. Most guys are where we thought they were I think. And J’Covan Brown hurt himself not coming in shape. C’mon man, it’s your one shot.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 4:46am #678534

McDunkinIm shocked Tyshawn Taylor is 6’4" in shoes
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 4:47am #678536
B-ball fanParticipantPerry Jones is almost 7 feet in shoes. I didn’t expect him to be a full inch taller than Davis.
Terrence Jones is another winner, standing over 6’9" in shoes with long arms. I thought he would be on the shorter side of his listed height, albeit with long arms to make up for it.
Surprised that Barnes has the 5th highest body fat % of the first half of nearly 10%. Not that that is really bad or anything, but it isn’t that far behind Draymond Green.
Also, Jared Cunningham has a 3.6% body fat %. That is crazy.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 4:57am #678545

mgreener_34ParticipantTerrance Jones really helped his stock out a lot. He may be a tweener to some people, but the dude is huge at 6’9 250 pounds. I could easily see him getting drafted before guys like Sulliger now.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 4:57am #678539

uknationParticipantWhy do you think some shoes have commercials saying “they are lighter”. They take some from the soles. Think about air forceones soles and then think about some other shoes soles
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 5:01am #678542

CynthiaParticipantJeremy Lamb is shorter than I expected, and Bradley Beal is taller than I expected, they’re only about a half inch different in shoes. I think this hurts Lamb, whatever chance he had at going above Beal has probablly disappeared now.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 5:07am #678550

CAROLINA BLUE NICKParticipantMeyers Leonard is damn near 7’2 in shoes. As athletic as he is, that’s pretty impressive. And @benny 15 i guess Drummond wore nike boots to the combine lol
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 5:19am #678554
ivan138Participantwell i have the same standing reach as tyler zeller and plumlee and im 6ft8 lol
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 5:26am #678561

CAROLINA BLUE NICKParticipantAlso looking back at it, Beal And Rivers both wore some thick shoes too. They both gained an inch and a half in shoes making them almost 6’5 and 6’5 respectively. Lamb wore regular hooping shoes and only gained an inch and a quarter. If he had on the same shoes as Beal and Rivers Lamb would be almost 6’6. That would have probably increased his stock too. But at the end of the day as long as you can hoop, it doesn’t matter what your height is. But scouts put so much emphasis on height, there is no telling who stuffed their shoes this morning.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 5:29am #678556

McDunkinI thought it was already known that all of the Zellers and Plumlees have T-Rex arms
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 5:29am #678557

Wahoo757ParticipantAndre Drummond’s weight is higher than I expected. It was reported he lost over 20 pounds after playing at 290 the past season, so I thought he’d be about 10 less than his measured 279 pounds. Also with Drummond, what the hell kind of shoe was he wearing hat added 2 inches to his height. Marquise Teague was listed at 189 with Kentucky, but he came out a thin 179 pounds.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 5:30am #678563

HaleParticipantWaiters is ripped. 221 at about 6’2 in socks in insane.
Rivers measurements are plenty big at 6’5 202, but why does he look so small on the court?
Didn’t expect Zeller to be that close to 7′.
AD is a tad shorter then I thought he was.
Terrence Ross at 3.2% body fat…wow.
Perry Jones is a legit 6’11 and he even weighs abouit 235 now, good for him.
How is it possible that Sullinger’s reach is higher then T-Rob when he’s only .25 inch taller with like 2 inches less on his wingpsan?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 5:31am #678559

Wahoo757ParticipantAlso, the booth at the combine pointed out an interesting point: how did Jae Crowder grow an inch (without shoes) since the Nets combine.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 5:36am #678570

JoeWolf1^Shoulder width, is my guess on Sullinger and Robinson. Robinson has massive shoulders which is probably a factor as to why his reach is so long. Sullinger is almost pear shaped and his reach is probably more arm than shoulder.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 5:57am #678582
tkd720manParticipantIt’s too bad that they don’t add shoulder width as a measurement. I think it’s just as important as wingspan and reach, since having big shoulders (e.g. Dwight Howard, or even Rondo at the guard) helps you to clear more space and get boards, whereas having narrow shoulders (e.g. Hasheem Thabeet) will cause you to get pushed around. It would be very interesting to see Henson’s sholder width versus Davis’, for example.
Also noticed that Harrison Barnes has relatively small hands, which I suppose explains why he has trouble with his handle.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 6:08am #678591

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantNot really surprised by anything to tell the truth. I though Robinson and Sullinger would both come in at 6-9 with shoes which is fine for a PF especially with their strength. I thought Anthony Davis would be 6-11 and it looks like he’ll probably be rounded up to 6-11 for his final height since they always seem to round up. And Drummond at a legit 6-11 in shoes (if he wore normal shoes that gave him an inch and a quarter) is what I expected as well, he did weigh a bit more than I thought though especially after reports that he’d been shedding weight but a 7.5% body fat isn’t so bad. MKG with regular shoes would have been 6-7, 232 lbs which is exactly what he was listed at Kentucky.
Other thoughts:
– So it looks like Beal will be officially listed at 6-5 in the NBA, that should definitly be a plus for him, I still feel like his draft ceiling is #4 to Cleveland.
– Jeremy Lamb and Will Barton need to seriously hit the weight room and pack on some pounds.
– Harrison Barnes came in about 12 lbs heavier than I expected him to be and his body fat of 9.6 % was relatively high. I remember Kyrie Irving getting ripped on for being 10.2 % last year and he was coming off an injury.
– Scott Machado must be ripped; 6-2 in shoes, 206 lbs with 5.8% body fat. I already think he is going to end up the steal of the draft and this just cements that notion in my eyes.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 6:34am #678610

rickyD510ParticipantKinda random but Anthony Davis’s hands are pretty smalll compared to most big men, hell, most of the gaurds have roughly the same size hands or even bigger ones. I dont think it should matter too much cuz he looked pretty fluid in catching the ball in traffic in real games.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 6:44am #678620

HitsterParticipantJohn Henson is up to 216lbs which for a guy as skinny as he was is good going.
Myers Leonard has measured out very well and it could help boost his draft stock, likewise Quincy Miller has huge measurements for an SF and could create automatic mismatches and his length on defence alone will surely appeal to come teams.
Drummond came in at just below his site listed weight and wasn’t nearer 300lbs as could have been feared. Also Sullinger has shifted a few lbs since he was weighed at one of the McDonalds or Jordan events a couple of years ago.
MKG, Barnes and Terence Jones all look to have good size to play SF although Barnes is maybe a naturally smaller build and will probably drop a bit of weight and tone up thus reducing his body fat level in due course.

WizardofOzParticipantSome of these guys like Leonard, Drummond, MKG, and Waiters must be wearing high heels or something. How are they adding 2-3 inches to their height just by putting on shoes?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 6:58am #678634

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantSome of these guys like Leonard, Drummond, MKG, and Waiters must be wearing high heels or something. How are they adding 2-3 inches to their height just by putting on shoes?
—————————————————————————————————————-
Waiters and Leonard are wearing shoes that add an extra 1.5 inch to their height, not that crazy. Leonard really has no reason to exaggerate his height, he’s the tallest guy in this class. Yeah Drummond adding 2 inches with shoes is pretty strange and MKG adding 1.75 but both guys would’ve measured the same as they were listed at school even if they only added an extra 1.25 inches.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 7:15am #678650
mosdefParticipantIm not shocked by any of the measurements, especially with the prospects I like. I actually watch college basketball
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 7:38am #678666

JoeWolf1^Darius Miller reminds me a lot of Danny Green coming out of UNC. He was an athletic 6’6” glue guy, and I feel if Miller worst on his shot the way Green did, he can be a legit part time starter or 6th, 7th man in this league.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 7:43am #678663

Chilbert arenasParticipantDarius Miller was the most shocking, his stock will be rising.
Dion Waiters has been known to struggle with his weight at times so 220 isn’t necessarily a good thing.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 8:16am #678684

IndianaBasketballParticipantAndre Drummond must’ve had max talls in his shoes lmao.
Regardless, he’s huge just like everyone was expecting. He’s a legit 6′ 11" in shoes. Real NBA center measurements.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 8:23am #678689

JNixonParticipantAndre Drummond looks exactly how an NBA C should look
Jeff Taylor lost about 15 lbs, he was at least 225 during the season. Ive seen him in person, looks like an NBA SF and has for a while
Tyshawn Taylor at 6’4 is a surprise. Thought he was like 6’2 or 6’3
I thought Marquis Teague weighed more than 180. Thought he was 190ish
J’Covan Brown has high body fat for his size. Not a big surprise considering he literally has not level of tone of definition to his build lol. Heard he looked bad in the sprints yesterday too
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 8:35am #678697
AKOOParticipantThe actual athletic drills are much more important. I just saw that Kyle O’Quinn whom people have been falling in love with only got the bar up 11 times. That is less than Hassan Whiteside and Keith Benson both who were said to be too weak to currently suceed as a NBA big man. That is a pretty big happening in my opinion.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 8:46am #678699

IndianaBasketballParticipantIt’s nitpicking, but I was expecting Anthony Davis to be a little taller. I was expecting Javele McGee type measurements.
Still great measurements though.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 8:50am #678705

Wahoo757ParticipantIn addition to Jae Crowder growing an inch without shoes since the Nets combine, Kim English has grown 3/4 of an inch since then.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 8:58am #678711
F_Sazeli at 6′ 11.5 with a 7.6 wingspan
moe harkless 6’9 with a 7 ft wingspan
damn, tu holloway at 5′ 10.5
beanrd james numbers are good. he might get drafted.
mkg’s height doesnt make sense right under kris joseph’s
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 8:59am #678712
beard20ParticipantFestus Ezeli is a beast of a man. 6’11 265lbs , 7’6 wingspan with 5.5% body fat . Dude must look like Atlas hah
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 9:21am #678721

GoodbyeChandlerParticipantNo one mentioned the fact that Austin Rivers measured at 6’5", the accepted height for the prototypical NBA 2 guard, and how much that’s going to boost his stock, especially with this erroneous belief that he is going to have to play the point at the next level.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 10:30am #678752

Meditated StatesParticipantI remember people saying he was clearly 6’8. PJ3 at 4% body fat and being 6’11 has to help him.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 11:50am #678818
tkd720manParticipantI don’t understand people getting excited on Drummond just because he measured so big…. Doesn’t that just raise more questions as to why he was so ineffective in college? With that size he should have been dominating!
He’s got "bust" written all over him.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 12:41pm #678841
Lotto StudParticipantIs there anyone pleased with Mike Scott’s measureables?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 5:04pm #678909

r377ParticipantHow do you feel about Royce White draft stock after these measurements. Is he going to play SF or PF ?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/08/2012 - 5:24pm #678911

Wahoo757ParticipantNaturally, as a UVA fan I’m excited Mike Scott is a little bigger than advertised. Not a big stock changer, because everything was expected except that extra 3/4 of an inch in height. He’s still a mid to late 2nd rounder in my honst opinion.
