    The heat do not have their MLE this summer because they had to renounce it to get completely under the cap. Assuming there will be a MLE after this year they will most likely spend the money on a big man. What veteran big do you see wanting to join this team after the season is over?

    Tyson Chandler, Kendrick Perkins, Jeff Foster, Troy Murphy, David West, Joel Przybilla, Samuel Dalembert

    Do you see these veterans lineing up to get a chance to play with the easts starting Allstar team and a great chance at a ring? I know it is far away but you can bet Pat Riley is thinking about who will join up with them.

    They will probably want someone who can play some tough defense and protect their big 3, and Perkins fits that mold is about worthy of the MLE according to current market value I think. Pryzbilla might be a bit below them, Dalembert is injury prone (but I guess, apparently, so is Perkins), Foster is too old and Chandler would be a good fit but he is coming off a $13 million deal and might be able to command more from a team with cap room that’s also in need of a center. I think Perkins would be a good fit because they wouldn’t need to rely on him to score, just grab boards, block shots and play the role of enforcer.

    David West has a player option for over 7 mil. Don’t think he is leaving that for the vet min

      Mid level exception this year was just shy of 6 million, we aren’t talking about veterans minimum.

    that would be a pay cut of 600,000 to a million. if one more all star type player takes a pay cut for miami i am calling tampering
