the barronParticipantThe Utah Jazz have the Knicks unprotected pick in 2010. Recent history has shown us that the Knicks are a lottery team therefore the Jazz should have a top seven pick in next years draft. Being a Jazz fan this is exciting cuz the last time the Jazz picked this high in the lottery they picked up Deron Williams. I believe with Boozer coming back probably for one more year only and the Paul Millsap situation is still unsettled I think the Jazz can pick up a PF/C in next years draft. My top pick would be Cole Aldrich since he is an interior defender something the Jazz lack. Motiejunas, Monroe, and Brackins should also be considered. I will be keeping an eye on the Knicks and hopefully they end up high in the lottery. So who do you think the Jazz should take with a probable high lottery pick?

butidonthavemoneyJohn Wall obviously. Play him at the 2 or trade him.
Derrick Favors is my second option because IMO he has the strength/hops/length to play PF/C. He rebounds and blocks shots at an extreamly high rate.
Cole Aldrich is my third option. He would fit in with the likely rotation of Millsap/Okur/Koufos.

SwatLakeCityParticipantI say the Jazz go for a PF/C. Here are the options. Montiejunas, Favors or Cole Aldrich in that order. Though I believe in the end Aldrich will get the pick, because I believe that Montienuas and Favors as well as Davis will go to other lottery teams like the Thunder, the Kings, the Clips, the T’wolves So I say that Aldrich is the pick. He would be an excellent replacement for Booze since he will definitely be leaving before the trade deadline. He would give the Jazz alot better defense and a nice shot. Of course Montiejunas and Favors would be better but like I said they are going earlier to other lottery teams. The knicks are not the worst team in the league. I doubt they will not get a top 3 or even top 4 pick which is where I believe that Montiejunas, Davis, and Favors will go. The Knicks will most likely pick at the 5-7 spot. Which would leave Aldrich as the pick. Here is to hoping the Knicks do that bad and the future of a championship with Dwill and this future lottery pick goes well.

Ecuadorboy0233ParticipantGreg Monroe and Ebanks let me through this out there the jazz could trade this pick along with boozer.

STEVEDOT2ParticipantJAZZ NEED A SHOOTING AND EXPLOSIVE SHOOTING GAURD TO GET THEM TO THE NEXT LEVEL
AND WITH THEM TRADING BOOZER THIS YEAR {RUMOUR} THEY MIGHT BE BACK IN THE LOTTERY THEMSELVES SO THATS 2 PICKS ONLY 1 TEAM IN THE WEST GOT WEAK THE ROCKETS THE CLIPPERS WILL HAVE A BETTER YEAR
I EXPECT THEM TO GO AFTER FAVORS SINCE AK 47 WONT BE AROUND 4EVER AND FAVORS CAN PLAY SF AND PF OR DRAFT A SHOOTING GAURD A POSTION THEY NEVER STRUCK GOLD WTH IN THE DRAFT…..
MILSAP IS THERE FUTUR BIGMAN
KUFOS IS OKUR IN THE MOLD
DERON THERE FUTURE POINT
THEY CAN STILL RUN THE SAME SYSTEM BUT THEY WILL NEED ANOTHER PLAYER TO DO WIT AK 47 DOES
FOR LESS PLAY
AND IF THEY THINK THEY CAN MOVE KERILINKO THEY WILL IN A COUPLE YEARS IF THEY DRAFT FAVORS IN HE LIVES UP TO POTENITAL
SO I HAVE FAVORS NUMBER 1 ON THERE BOARD AS OF NOW UNLESS A SHOOTING GAURD OUT PERFORMS FAVORS

SwatLakeCityParticipantTo Steve-Dot 2: I agree with you, but I like AK coming off the bench, and in about two years he won’t be worth what he is now, so they can keep him. So intead of drafting Favors, they should go for someone, that should be around when the Jazz are on the clock. The guy who is at the top of my leader board is Paul George. This can shoot 3’s at about 40%!!! He has great athleticism, and can play some nice D, but still needs to work on it. I am also high on Devin Ebanks or Evan Turner. If those guys are not available which I highly doubt, than Xavier Henry, or Luke Babbit could also work. Favors cannot shoot, and I believe that Brewer’s true position is SF, he plays great D, and out performs AK by far. A pure shooter is all they need. They could also land a pure shooter in the Boozer trade, and pick Greg Monroe, who I think will be the next Karl Malone for the Jazz.

butidonthavemoneyMonroe isn’t tough enough or a good enough rebounder to be compared to Malone. Favors is everything this team needs in the post. He would fit in perfectly with Okur, Koufos and Millsap.
Paul George or Evan Turner would fit in well. AK-47 is an enigma, nobody knows what is going to happen with him. Brewer and AK are great players but unless one of them becomes a very real threat from long range then we need another sharp-shooter.
It will be an exciting college basketball season for all Jazz fans!

STEVEDOT2ParticipantIM PRAYING THEY TRADED BOOZER SO WE CAN TANK OUR ODDS OF HAVING 2 EARLY FIRST ROUND PICKS I DONT KNO IF THE BOOZER BEASLY TRADE IS GOING TO HAPPEN BUT IF THAT DOES IDK IF MIKE PLAYS THE PF WHERE HE MIGHT BE ABLE TO BE A FORCE AT IN TIME OR A SF SINCE MILSAP IS ALREADY THERE
BUT GETTING BACK TO DRAFT TALK A HIGHLY TOUTED PLAYER WILL SLIP DOWN THE BOARD AND SOME PLAYERS WILL MOVE UP MAKING UTAHS DRAFT PICK {IF THEY HAVE THE 17TH WORSE RECORD OR LOWER} A VAULE WE CAN GET THE STEAL OF THE DRAFT LETS SAY AND XAVIER HENRY SLIDES DOWN TO AROUND 15 TO 16 OR A PLAYER MOVES UP THAT FITS OUR BILL AND EVERY YEAR ATLEAST 2 TO 4 GREAT PLAYER SLIPS
SO IM PRAYING WE HAVE THE 17TH LOWEST WIN LOSE RECORD OR LOWER AND THE LOTTERY DOESNT JERK US
IMAGINE GETTING HENRY AND PAUL
OR PAUL AND EVAN OR IF FAVORS HAS A GREAT COLLEGE SEASON IMAGINE IF WE GET A CHANCE TO TAKE FAVORS I SAY TAKE HIM
HISTORY SHOWS TALENT SHOULD ALWAYS GO BEFORE TEAM NEED
09.BLAKE GRIFFIN CLIPPERS ALREADY HAD A GREAT PF
08.ROSE BULLS ALREADY HAD A PG BEASLY WAS THE BETTER FIT
07.ODEN WAS A TEAM NEED THEY NEED A STARTING CENTER AND SKIPPED ON DURANTS TALENT AND WE ALL SEEN WHAT HAPPENED DURANT IS THE BETTER PLAYER ODEN IS TRYING TO GET HIS CAREER ON TRACK0 - AuthorPosts
