I was just listening to the BS Report. Bill Simmons was chatting with Daryl Morey.
One interesting thing that Morey mentioned there was that he’s expecting a deep draft in 2010 with a lot of prospects coming out early because of the CBA.
He mentioned that the salary might change in the next CBA and a lot of prospects may come out early so that they can secure more money even though they may not be ready to make the jump. He also mentioned 2011 would be a weak draft as a result and the 2012 draft would also be stronger.
I think his logic makes sense, and I fully expect guys like Hassan Whiteside to declare. That’s why I think nbadraft.net should consider putting him in the 2010 draft instead of the 2011.
