xbadgerhustlerParticipant2003 is better and deeper, although the 2008 class is shaping up to be quite a class.
LBJ-Melo-Wade alone makes the class better….
as far as depth: bonner, mo williams, kyle korver, kapono, bogans, walton, blake, pachulia, willie green…. that’s 9 contributors from the 2nd round… and josh howard, kendrick perkins, and barbosa as the last 3 picks of the 1st round? wow.

Russell0WestbrookParticipant03 has alot of star power up top with role players and scrubs after that. 08 has alot of talent everywhere but you have to give these young guys time you cant compare 6 seasons to 1 and 10 games. 08 looks to be much deeper but 03 has some great ones(LeBron, Wade, Melo, Bosh) but alot of their draft mates arent even in the league anymore!

MkadozaParticipantYou just don’t see drafts that have 4 certified superstars taken in the first 5 picks, but Melo, Bosh, LBJ and Wade have established themselves as some of the premier players in all the league. I don’t see anyone in the 08 draft outside of Rose being as good as any off those four, throw in Kaman (top 5 center in the league), West, Perkins, Barbosa, Howard, Hinrich, Diaw, Pietrus, Ford, Williams, and you have a serious team.

quincey hodgesyeah i think 2003 has more stars but i think 2008 has more depth…as far as scrubs some of those guys that went first round in 2008 arent even in the nba anymore..i mean look at the names after the 11th pick..some dont do much and others arent even in the nba anymore

xbadgerhustlerParticipantquincey, how do u figure that 2008 has more depth?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/17/2009 - 2:13pm #230738
quincey hodgescuz i look at player by player and see who contributes who doesnt and how many guys arent even in the nba anymore and how many in 2008 might not be in the nba in a couple years..i think like 6 players from the first round of the 03 draft arent in the nba anymore
