dmo21ParticipantOkay, so i was looking at the players drafted from 2000 to 2008, and at what positions they were picked at. Then i tried to make teams for each draft position, like the all number one draft pick team.. Not every draft position had the right basketball positions. The best, full teams i got were:
#3’s
Pg- Deron Williams
Sg- OJ Mayo
Sf- Carmelo Anthony
Pf- Pau Gasol
C- Al Horford#5’s
PG- Devin Harris
SG- Dwayne Wade
SF- Jason Richardson
PF- Jeff Green
C- Kevin Love#7’s
Pg- Kirk Hinrich
Sg- Eric Gordon
Sf- Luol Deng
Pf- Charlie Villanueva
C- Nene#8’s
Pg- TJ Ford
Sg- Jamal Crawford
Sf- Rudy Gay
Pf- Chris Wilcox
C- Channing Frye0 - Posted on: Sun, 10/11/2009 - 8:23am #220673

But after the 1st team u really cant make any more starting lineups with the other number 1’s..

RickyRubio9ParticipantWhy do you always write in CAPS? By the way, I think he was trying to make legit teams with players at their right position. You got a crazy team, three 7 footers…Your Front Court are all naturally centers and your 2 Guard is a SF originally, but can play the 2. Your PG is fine though…That still is a bad team…Face it, Number 1 Picks are usually Big Men…Bargnani, Bogut, Yao, Dwight, Greg Oden, Kenyon Martin, Kwame, Blake Griffin…All within this decade too. Only Number 1 picks that aren’t big men are LeBron and D. Rose…

RickyRubio9Participantfor Number 1 Picks would be something like,
C – Yao (Biased, Dwight could be here)
PF – Martin
SF – Griffin
SG – LeBron
PG – Rose
Well, that’s what I think, just my opinion though0 - Posted on: Sun, 10/11/2009 - 8:35am #220678

dmo21Participantthanks rubio, i was trying to make actual teams that could actually go together with players at their natural positions. Also i didnt use anybody from the 2009 draft class because you cant really say they are good or not yet. i was one player short on many teams like the #1’s(SG), #2’s(SG), #6’s(PG), #14’s(C), #17’s(PG),and #20’s(PF)

RickyRubio9ParticipantYeah, I kind of thought that’s why there were no Draft Picks from this past Draft.

RUDEBOYLOL… U are right..i do 4get to hit the cap button sometimes..hahaha i didnt know u were paying attention..I guess i’m use to big things..i’m 6’3..i wear a size 14..i like big paychecks, big screen tvs,i like big cars..but not big women…ANYWAYS. U SAY I HAVE A CRAZY TEAM? lebron would be playing shooting guard..if cleveland had a legit small forward..shooting guard is where he played his rookie year..Howard stated off playing power forward his rookie year..i put ANDREAS at the small forward to add outside shooting …U’RE right u cant make a real team from the number 1 picks from the 2000 drafts becuz must are big men…

joecheck88ParticipantI know u didnt want to use this year’s draft but I needed a SG.
#9’s
C- Joel Pryzbilla/Joakim Noah(2000/2007)
PF- Amare Stoudemire(2002)
SF- Andre Iguodala(2006)
SG- Demar Derozan(2009)
PG- DJ Augustin(2008)I think this would be a good team. I think it would beat the #3’s because they would have chemistry problems, It would beat the 5’s because they are too small. The #7’s would be a decent matchup. And the 8’s just arent that good. The 9’s have a perfect blend of athleticism and defense. The achilles’ heel would definately be the shooting. What do you think?

dmo21Participantthat 8’s team looks pretty good, need a lil more experience for the guards, but in a couple years that will probably look very good… i dont no if they could beat the 3’s tho (who also have Ben Gordon as their 6th man), deron and mayo would reak havoc, but i dont no how amare would do against gasol and horford…
