I remember posting on a previous blog saying if/can the thunder stay healthy this season they will win the Finals. We are only 2 games in the season and I’m already saying I told you so. KD hasn’t even fully got his groove back and they are best 1-2 tandem in the league by far! People always want to say who’s Batman and who’s Robin out of the 2! Fact is its more like Batman pairing up with Spiderman or Superman. Pick your poison 6`10 truly smooth gifted scoring machine or 6`3 explosive at your face do it all guard. Fire and Ice. I can go on and on  about the Thunder but IMA just leave it at that. OKC will be your new NBA Champions if healthy.

Next up Bold Prediction. Isaiah Thomas will be a all-star. Yes the 5’9 180 PD 60th pick out of UW from Tacoma Was will be a All-star. Dude is currently avg 26pts 7ast 2.5 stls in 2 games as a 6th man to Marcus Smart. I do expect his numbers to drop to around 21pts 7ast but other than John Wall and Kylie Irving maybe Derrick Rose just b/c he’s Derrick Rose I.T has a chance right there with Teague and Lowry to make it. I like Marcus smart as their PG of the Future and he will have His Nights good and bad but Isaiah Thomas will more than enough get his fair share of minutes to keep contributing and be the 1st all-star to come off the bench in recent memory and might as well toss 6th man of the year award in there as well.

Last but not least I remember commenting on a post not to long ago titled " Best up and coming SGs" in that post I mentioned 3 sgs to look for. Jordan Adams, Nick Stauskas and CJ McCollum. I liked how Nick Stauskas performed last night in his debut off the bench with the sixers but this section has got to be about my Cj McCollum. Only 2 games in but he is currently the 6th leading scorer in the league just ahead of Bradley Beal and Demar Derozen. Now we all know Cj McCollum and Lillard will get theirs. Cj McCollum will elevate himself as a top 5 SG in the league this season. He will avg at least. 20 pts 5rebs 5ast and just miss the all-star game.

Those are my Bold Statements and Predictions. Feel free to comment or post your own statements and predictions to keep a eye on as the season unfolds.

first off, it shouldn’t take 2 overtime to beat the magics if your the Thunder.. If you’ve seen the Cavs play, you probably realize how deep they will be IF healthy like your Thunders, if they match up in the finals, the Cavs will win in 6. Love has played really well the last 2 games, watch out. I think the Cavs would be way too deep for the Thunder really.

Right. That is the 1 team in the league that can honestly beat them. At their best firing on all cylinders and healthy the Caviliers are the only team I see giving the Thunder a run for their money. That will be a great matchup for the title but Thunder will pull out. 1 reason Russell Westbrook. Russell Westbrook is a way better  Player  than kyrie. Kyrie is only 1 dimensional. He has a handle and can score. That’s it. I’m telling you now if that’s the matchup in the finals Russell Westbrook would destroy kyrie and become the Finals MVP. KD vs Lebron give or take. Love doesn’t dominate Ibaka. Mozgov vs Adams give or take. Tristan vs Kanter. Waiters vs Shump. There’s matchups all across the board but the one that really matter will come at the PG position.and Russell will dominate that

Props to Miko to figure out the whole Westbrook-Durant Super Hero Thing.  You are right.  No Robin here.  Ok, maybe Enes Kanter is ROBIN for stealing all that money.

Ok, I will say that they are Batman and Superman.  Now which one is Batman and which one is Superman?

Westy has some Clark Kent style glasses, and he IS able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.  And he is definitely an alien from a different planet.  His only weakness is kryptonite (trying to do too much aka turnovers and bad shot selection).  His arch enemy was Lex Luther aka Scott Brooks and he is gone.  I bet Scott Brooks tried to turn Oklahoma into a beach…

KD is Batman cuz you think he is a good guy which he is but he is kinda ornery like Batman.  And, he pretty much works alone.  Plus, he is built like the Batmobile.

I guess that makes Steph Curry Spiderman to go with the rest of the Marvel Comic Book Warriors.

I still think their Role Players are too soft.

And the IQ isn’t there with Westbrook.

I’m a big fan of skill, IQ, and team-ball winning championships over just athleticism and passion.

I don’t think Westbrook has the IQ, I think he needs to learn how to get his teammates more involved, most importantly KD, its a shame that this still is an issue.

Also clasically with Scott Brooks they didn’t have a game plan, it was just watch the two go.  Thats not team-ball a la the Spurs and GSW.  They still play the same way with role players that don’t know their role and aren’t smart enoguh to know their spots.  Westbrook doesn’t inspire his teammates and rely on them like Lebron does…and Jordan used to.  He tries to do it all himself…and he’s the same, whats changed?

    I think it goes:

GSW, Clippers, Spurs, and OKC in the West.  If OKC can magically figure it out, why can’t the Clips with their solid bench.

Just b/c Westbrook isn’t the classic pass first playmaking PG like a Chris Paul or Mike Conley the Thunder are not gonna win? In case you having noticed Westbrook carried the Thunder to a win over the Spurs by himself with Durant shoot in 6-19 and then combined with Durant for 91 pts in a win over the Magic.  He’s not a Classic Pass first PG. But at the same time there’s not one PG in the league that can guard that man period. Westbrook is the best PG in the league. Steph, Cp3, John wall may all have their moments but Matchup against Westbrook I expect Westbrook to get the best of any match up in the league b/c his Ecplosiveness, Athleticism and Intensity at which he plays the game with is unmatched by anyone in the league period.

Ah, the classic “Westbrook has no basketball IQ” argument. There’s no good reason for anyone to write off the Thunder, unless you’re banking on another major injury. Since the Harden trade, we haven’t lost one playoff series with Ibaka, Russ, and KD healthy

I’m saying if it was less run and gun and they actually played in half court sets and their role plays were savvy veterans, that would be more of a factor against other good teams.  He can "will to win" all he wants early in the season, in the playoffs, I’ll still take a guy like Curry who gets his teammates involved intelligently over a guy that a history of taking BAD shot after BAD shot.  They could win, but their chances would be a lot better if he just gave Durant the ball and watched him do what he simply can’t do, which is shoot beautifully.  Westbrook is a football player first, therefore, like Lebron, his shot is less reliable than a better shooter.  I don’t care how he plays PG, he’s a ball-dominant 2 guard for all I care, all I care about is that he takes one bad shot after another and it hurts his team in the playoffs.  Durant should be touching the ball a lot more in the playoffs.  I could care less about game 2 or 3 in the regular season.
