Which 1st Round team(s) with multiple picks do you possibly see creating a log jam at a certain position on draft night?

    • Minnesota
    • Utah
    • Washington
    • Charlotte
    • Houston
    • Chicago

They need a shooting guard, back up small forward, a combo guard, and another big. In that order.

They can get a lot of value at the 28 and 30 spots.

The other teams are lottery bound anyways so it doesnt matter.

I can see Houston taking two Centers or a Center & Forward/Center to replace Yao unless they really plan on investing in Thabeet’s future long term.

I’ve mentioned this to my friends, but never on these forums: I wouldn’t be so surprised if the Jazz took both Knight and Jimmer. Both can play off the ball, and Jimmer doesn’t need to start to be effective, Devin Harris is not the future at PG, and with C.J. Miles potentially becoming a free agent they will need shooters above all.

I can see it happening, but I don’t think Jimmer slides that far.

I think Jimmer will be there at 12. The Kings despite the owners’ love for him will wind up with Kemba or Kawhil, the Pistons will take a big man or Kemba if he’s there, Bobcats won’t go for him as they need frontcourt help badly, he’s already made it clear he won’t play for the bucks and they’re not going to take him, and no way the Warriors go for him with Curry and Ellis, leaving him for Utah at 12.

"he’s already made it clear he won’t play for the bucks and they’re not going to take him,"

When was this said, because this is the first that I’ve heard of this?

Minnesota definitively, especially if they draft and keep Derrick Williams

They have Beasley, Wes, ARandolph, Lazar Hayward, and then you add Derrick Williams?

Yeah, they’re all versatile and can play multiple positions, but still…thats FIVE SFs, all under the age of 25

And you can take out Hayward and Randolph, but thats still a logjam at the 3

From every one I have talked to, it seems like the concensus is that Minny will take either D Will or Irving, and either of those picks creates a log jam. If you pick Irving, you hava Flynn (on the trade block), Rubio, and now Irving, all great young talents with a lot of upside, but to grow they will need ot see the court, and with the three of them, someone is going to want a change of scenery. And if you take D Will, than you have the D Will, Beasley,Randolph, and even Love logjam. This team is incredibly talented, and if all of their young players pan out, than they will be a contender in due time. Imagine Flynn having a good season then getting traded for a good small foward that is can also play the 4, that gets lets say 10 points and 6 rebounds, off hte bench and Rubio consitantly gives you 10 and 10, and lets say they draft Williams, who gets you 18 and 7, plus Love with somthing around 19 and 13.You would still have Beasley off the bench, who can hopefully give you 13-16 off the bench, and you also ahve Wayne Ellington, and Anthony Toliver who can give you solid production off the bench. And we haven’t even mentioned Wesley Johnson, who can start at the three, adn if he reaches his potential, can hopfully give you 15 and 7. Not to mention other prospects such as Lazar Hayward, Martell Webster, Nikola Pekovic, and yes, even Darko can get you 8 and 5.So IF all or most of these things og in favor of Minesota, their future looks very bright.
