PrecociousNeophyteParticipantWhat was the reasoning for Waiters at 25? I’m sure you already know that there is a pretty good chance that he got a promise from a lottery team and could go as high as 8.

MJBrownParticipantDion Waiters is just too good to fall to 25, promise or no promise. I don’t see how Sullinger fits in Toronto either. They have a lot of confidence in Bargnani and before the injury he was proving to be an improved rebounder and defender. I don’t see them going in that direction at all

Seamo15ParticipantOverall I think it’s solid. It has a few changes from the general consensus, which you’ve explained and given backing to so that’s fine. Originally I was going to make a point of saying Drummond at 2 wasn’t right, but the more I look on it the more i realise it is inevitable based on Jordan’s history and Charlotte’s position. Robinson at 7 is certainly a harsh fall, but again you did back it with information. I didnt see him falling out of the top 3, but then again if teams have their own plans and "promises" he has the potential to slip.
Perry Jones i feel may go to the Bucks, just because of the Baylor connection with Udoh, seeing how well he’s produced. Also he’s having a workout with them which he seemed pretty positive about.
From there on I agree with 99% of it. Maybe Leonard might climb but everything else is similair to the mine i did a month ago. Draymond Green to OKC is perfect, as is Fab to Heat.
Certainly a well thought out mock draft

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantThanks for the feedback guys!
I’ll think about some of the points you guys had and make decisions on certain picks, especially Dion Waiters.

FUNKYBUNCHParticipantAt last! It was great reading your first round comments! Much props for taking the time to do that alone!!! Yeah there were "promises" that were not on there supposed places- Jeremy Lamb to POR surprised me a little. I like where you had Denmon and Crowder in the 2nd round… Overall it’s a good mock.

boshjonesfordParticipantI like some of the things you did but i dont see Raptors picking Sullinger at 8th (they have way to many PFs, even if they didnt pick him) – that is the absoluite last position they need and he is not good enough to warrent a BPA pick

Having a promise three weeks prior to the draft is hard to read. It is hard for me to believe with such a muddied picture at this point that the promise was really high. Reggie Jackson, despite the fact he showed to be ill-prepared for the NBA, was someone who could have worked himself out into being a much higher pick than #24.

boshjonesfordParticipant^^ nope not 8 because the day after BC (GM for Toronto) was doing a readio interview and said he doesnt know about the promise and how Dion Waiters cancled his Toronto Meeting (which is kind of wierd since im guessing the promise could not have been from a team higher then 8 or prehepas he just wants to reschedual) all in all he didnt get the promise from the raptors

SubZeroParticipantI agree with you on Perry Jones in Phoenix. It seems like the perfect situation for him for all the reasons you said

Sewok15ParticipantI think you have Doron Lamb a little low as well. He could go as high as 16th to Philly.

r377Participantwhy do ppl neg for mock drafts (especially for well thought out ones with comments) – everyone has a different opinion…. It would boring if everyone had the same mock or just copied aran….

Toronto16ParticipantLol why would Toronto take Sully? They have a glut of power forwards.

JoeWolf1Pretty solid for this time of the year. I don’t see Lamb that high, though, and although I think Portland will do a guard/big combo. I think he may fall, and I think Rivers will drafted before him as a 2 guard. I think Leonard really helped himself out this week and could now be a mix in the lottery.
