It is still early to have very accurate mock but I thought I would create my first one of the year (didn’t do much work in the 2nd round). I know some of these are reaches but I tried to think a little outside of the box based on team needs and create a different mock than most out there.. I appreciate all comments, good and bad.

I am not too high on Jackson yet but that could change with more team workouts coming. I agree that Vucavic could make it into the 1st round. A team like Portland could use a skilled big man.

Yeah I have Vucevic going to Portland, Reggie Jackson is a baller, I want to put him higher in mine I just don’t know where…2 big problems I have with your mock, Darius Morris at 13 man??? Cmon dude, that’s pretty outrageous if you ask me…and then Goudelock at the top of the 2nd round is off base, kid can shoot but he’s not fast or quick and isn’t on the same level as Norris Cole or Charles Jenkins imo

WAIT, u don’t even have Charles Jenkins in your mock, he could very easily be a 1st round pick….MAJOR oversight

I like the Cavs going with Williams and Kanter.  That would give them a great front line.  I also think that Ramon Sessions has some potential.  Probably not a top 5 point guard, but could end up being a top 10-15 point guard (similar, I think to Kyrie Irving).  I also think there are some good point guards next year, so if their young front line works out then they can go out and get a great passing point guard.  Maybe a good floor leader like Kendall Marshall.  I like the Goudelock pick for them.  Haven’t seen him play but he is supposed to be a good shooter/scorer.  So he can add some guard depth for them.  That might be a little high for him though.  With Derrick Williams on board I am not sure they need Gary Flowers who figures to be a small forward.  They might need to take a look at a 2 guard who can hit the 3 and defend (David Lighty, DeAndre Liggins).  But, with this draft their front line would be set for the future, and the Williams and Kanter duo would be a good 1-2 scoring punch.

If the Bulls can get Mack and Singler then that would be a great draft for them.

I really like the Keith Benson pick for the Spurs.  A good center, if underweight.  But I can see him coming in and producing.

Not sure I like the Heat’s pick.  Why get Thompkins when you have Dexter Pittman on board for next year?  I have the Heat looking at point guards and if the good ones are gone, then they should look at Jon Leuer, a big man who is fundamentally sound and can spread the floor with his shooting touch.  I can see him playing some center for them.

I like the Kemba Walker pick for Toronto.  They need a point guard.  Not sure there is a center that they should go after.

Like I side, didn’t do much work in the 2nd. I just focused on my 1st round and will work on that closer to the draft. I agree Morris is a reach but some scouts are getting pretty high on him and if he can play behind Nash for a year or 2 he could be a good PG in the NBA. He also gives them the option to play off the ball right away alongside Nash and Brooks.
